So wait a minute, now you can be a WBA "Super" Champion without unifying a belt?

It's ingrained in the sport because its part of the language of the sport.

World title fights sell more tickets, get more views, and is what everyone strives for.

Boxing is a joke in this respect.

The World Championship belt is now termed "Super". Anything below that is a marketing exercise. It's hilarious how people are duped by this simple concept.

Where there is simple concept? I really suspect for you these simple concepts are for posts in forums.
Had you ever compared these highly ranked by WBA or WBC boxers and their career, rankings and belts in depth?
No you did not had and are talking about simple concept.

Belts names and their ranking levels relatively clean did had WBC and WBA some time ago.
WBC silver belt holders usually had turned into a mandatory cotenders with a time so hierarchy steps had been followed in some order.

You talk about simple concepts while I had needed more than 4 hours hard work to get about for example WBO hierarchy levels.
Not alone to talk about WBA and modern era WBC.

You just think that this is so simple. While some WBA or WBC belt holder might had been ranked in top 5 by a lot of western orgs and western websites and for you this might look " exercise " belt.

This stuff is very complicated with these modern names for belts.

I thought I was going to get through a post of yours without "Western", but low and behold...

The concept is simple, and it may not be simple to you because you are easily duped by typical commercial marketing strategies. This is as basic as it gets. There is a reason why the WBA (super) is required for undisputed status - it's because it's WBA's World Championship belt. Nobody gives a **** about Trevor Bryan, or Manuel Charr, or Lucas Browne and nobody considers them world champions, unless they have a stake in relevant events and partnerships or are simply duped by the wording of a belt.

Boxing fans, like most sports fans, are as dumb as doorposts, and the WBA suits are laughing their backsides off sat in their executive chairs while some diddy on a boxing forum considers someone like Manuel Charr a world champion while he sat on the belt for 3 years, or even better yet, doesn't consider him a world champion but considers Alexander Povetkin a world champion, just because it's Alexander Povetkin, but doesn't consider Trevor Bryan a world champion.... and so on and on and on and on.

Trust me. When you get a JCVD, you will know they are real. The itching will tell you that. Or sores. Whatever it is, you'll believe.

You are a bit too co c ky my friend.
    1. I never had posted that Povetkin was a world champion in pro boxing ranks.
If you are so interested, he was not only Olympic champion but also World champion in am boxing ranks and also champ under one KB org.
In pro boxing he appeared in Klit bros era.
    2. Charr really was not so bad and had lost only via cuts vs Klit and prime Pov needed very diligent long full power combo work to finish Charr by giving more effort than had been required for prime Briedis with 1 punch and little follow punch.

Charr really had been officially ranked highly in boxrec and by WBA and he even had some from their belt.
More interesting, they had kept him in their ranking after he had been inactive :nonono and he disappeared only this year from their ranking.
While other boxers before covid crisis usually had lost their place in internationally well known rankings lists when they had been inactive 12 or 18 months in row, with Charr this did not had happened.:D

Maybe cos looks that they had listed him as " in recess " or like this belt?

There can be 100 belts. I'll still keep my eyes on the Lineal Champions.

Multiple champs and multiple belts. WBA just make people confuse and there's nothing interesting. I like IBF since it has only one belt in each division.
