and including Paul Smith thats 4 tune ups. Does this mean the fight with Kovalev gonna happen in 6 years? What about HW division? I remember Andre saying that he wants to be a HW champion, his own words, not from his team. I mean GGG gets tons of criticism because Abel Sanchez likes to talk ****, but GGG haters ignore the fact, that Ward himself (on ESNEWS) said that he would beat Klitschko.

You said GGG is coward because of the catch weight for the Ward fight, but he was willing to move up in weight and fight second best SMW without any tune ups in his hometown, in front of friggin 80 000 people LOL.

I personally think that Ward never gonna fight Kovalev, knowing his activity 3 tune ups is a lot of time. I heard that Ward had opportunity to fight on Cotto-Canelo undercard, but its only 5 weeks till the fight and we still dont know what Andre is doing...

    My prognosis:

Ward has difficulties making weight, thats why he is moving up (not because he wants Kovalev or any other top LHW), but he still wants to fight bums for millions $ and tune ups are just an excuse. If Rock nation gonna try to force him to fight Kovalev after 3 tune ups, he gonna sue them, hahaha

The guy that was too scared to fight Dirrell and Bute would be too scared to fight THE KRUSHER?????

    Surely not!

    Ward's a yellow piece of ****

But hey when asked he very quietly feigns future interest and that seems to be enough for some :-:)patsch

5 including Rodriguez. He's not fought a live body since Froch in 2011, the man has wasted his own career

Roc Nation are going to lose huge money on Ward, instead of getting someone young, perspective and fan-friendly like Inoue or Gonzalez, they sign a guy who cannot sell out his local community center and fights no-hopers once every 20 months for 1-2 million per fight

ward right now is currently very happy. His in the 'not fighting game'.

he will get a few more tune ups for millions against homeless tramps from roc nation. Will then be asked to step up, complain, sue and do everything in his power not to fight.

in fairness not signing with haymon shows his got no heart to fight, by not signing with haymon he basically made 85% of potential good fights unable to happen since he signed with roc nation

Did he really say he wants 3 tune ups? I think he should start chasing Pascal right after a fight with a gatekeeper like Chilemba.

This would be the only contract Coward should have been given

    1. Whoever you want Dre
    2. Beterbiev
    3. Kovalev

Like Damien38 said Roc Nation have been totally mugged. Absolute idiots giving this turgid boring coward a contract

Ward is just another Mayflower - fight the easiest fights possible for the most money possible, while being on the juice all the same

I'd assume Kovalev would be part of the 3 fight deal, if he isn't then HBO have dun goofed.

It's pretty clear Ward's next fight is going to be against a nobody as it's less than 6 weeks to the fight and we still have no opponent named. Hopefully the 2nd fight will be against someone like Pascal and then Kovalev for the 3rd fight.

Golovkin has had about 10 tune ups. What's your point?

his next fight needs to be at light heavy, no CW against a decent contender, then take on someone for the title shot against kova or kova in his second fight at light heavy would be very admirable

I wonder what Ward considers to be a tune-up? Some of those guys could be good.

Roc Nation would have made a better investment signing Rigo than Ward. The Cubans make rubbish business decisions but Ward is like Winky Wrights son in the way he decides to do his.

Haymon would have given him 6-9 tuneups by the time he gets though his supposed 3 with Roc Nation. :patsch

That's fine as long as he is fighting three times in a year, and not his typical fight schedule.
