Unfortuanely, one of his tune ups ducked him at SMW.

This is how it pans out:
2015-2017 - Al Haymon takes the titles away from Kovalev and has Beterbiev win them
Mid 2017 - Beterbiev is the king of 175lbs, and it's Ward vs Beterbiev
2018 - The winner faces tough opposition (Mekhontsev, Gvozdyk, Kovalev, JOE WARD lol)

One thing is for certain. Ward fans are ****ting there pants at the thought of him facing someone his own size in Kovalev. They felt very safe with the size and weight advantage he has over GGG. Not so much when it comes to the guys his own size.

Some of you guys just post anything to get a response, lmao. Sad. You cared when Floyd said that Cotto had no fans, and now you don't care and say Ward has no fans...lmfao! Hypocrites.

I think he's following the Mayweather playbook as best as he can.

Fight bums, hide behind your promoter, and wait for your threats to age/go through wars. He's banking on Kovalev being a shell of himself come fight time in 2017', much similar to may/pac.

He's gotta be super careful how he handles this...his career could officially be ended if this goes wrong.

    spot on!

He will make the move up when Kova / Stevenson will look old and beatable.

Fortunately Artur Beterbiev is younger than Ward.:yep

Seeing that Ward has a very nice 4 year contract with Roc Nation, and Little g, well he has..uh..NONE, then a year of warm ups is no big thing.
That leaves him with 3 years of serious contending and defences.

He is getting paid handsomely for tuneups, so why not? I don't want him to rush into a fight with the best LHW in the world either, he needs time to adjust to the weight and gain optimal conditioning.

I nice contract that has landed him a Unification fight on HBO PPV and a sold house at MSG.

Not comparable to fighting on BET and undercards.

Ward's RocNation contract is $40M, guaranteed. How much is Little g's? :lol99
Nothing wrong with hosting a fight on BET. That brings a whole new fresh audience into the mix.
What's so different between BET, SpikeTV, and Telemundo?
Only an extremely ignorant person would hate on BET's ability to host a boxing match. :yep

btw: The fight was good but they should kick sway to the curb for future matches.

Where did you read it was a 4 year contract? I thought Ward requested all the details be private.

"You said GGG is coward because of the catch weight for the Ward fight, but he was willing to move up in weight and fight second best SMW without any tune ups in his hometown, in front of friggin 80 000 people LOL. "

So why isn't he willing to fight Ward? Oh wait right, it's because that second best MW is nearly 40, and looked vulnerable against george fking groves :lol:
