I don't think he is. I think he wanted to get caught the last time round to age ggg out some more. He's more or less untouchable and I'm sure Oscar would have assured him that he can take whatever the he'll he wants without any chance of getting caught. Which is why you saw him brazenly swallow those roid pills on stage once again.
If Canelo KO's GGG or legit beats him by decision, fine. GGG is getting older and 1 year older from the last fight so wouldn't really surprise me if he looks like crud, or looks amazing either. But even if GGG wins 10 rounds, they aren't giving the decision to him. It's clear Canelo was working on speed and endurance and probably plans to run 10x more this fight, knowing GGG won' beat him in a decision. People have been saying GGG hasn't looked like himself for 3-4 fights now, so the age thing could be legit, of is it just because he's facing betting opponents, who knows. I think the only way Canelo gets respect for win though, if he really puts a beating on GGG or KO's him, which is possible. But even if he outboxes GGG, going backwards all fight and say wins 8-4. He's probably gonna get booed out of the place.
Funny enough I’ve just read the same thing in BBCs write up of this possible “fight of the century”and quite rightly Mike Costello pointed out how PEDs and testing work in boxing in as much as the fighters can take anything they want outside of competition and PEDs taken in that time can have long lasting effects. Same article also mentioned Golovkins team sent Steve Bunce details of Golovkins dealings with VADA......since February VADA had taken 12 urine and 6 blood samples off him suggesting this was the way to go in boxing, just thought Isal might want to hear this, seeming as he has such a thing about drug testing in and out of competition. Surely Canelo would have to be very stupid to go near any more nefarious steak after his ban but as Ricky Hatton recently said “nobody ate more steak than Ricky Fatton and yet it never made him lose any weight”lol
I dunno about that you know?sure we’ve seen enough Canelo scorecards to know what he’s up against but I said before and I’ll say it again the A side thing isn’t as obvious with these two as you’d think and let’s say Golovkin outboxes Canelo again by a few rounds can they really afford to rob GGG again with what’s at steak? Call me naive but I’d like to think Golovkin can win by decision this time if needed, that said I’d be much happier if he can knock Canelo out or force the stoppage and you know what?if Canelo outboxes Golovkin, knocks him out or just beats him fairly then he deserves the credit he’ll get imo.
When Golovkin loses, my excuse will be that Golovkin is old. I'll be rooting for Golovkin, but I just think he's too old at this point. The previous fight was very, very close. I think Golovkin won, but only by a hair. This time he'll have probably declined just enough for Canelo to actually get the W.
