Hypejob, privileged by some of you with double standards, etc. I've yet to hear the story of what he is if he legitimately wins.

Will he get his just dues, credit? Will it be Fury's leftovers? Please explain.

Personally I feel he is the next great heavyweight, win or lose.

Like all HW's, he will take some "L"s but nonetheless go down as the greatest of his era. Simple as that.

I'm not sold on AJ. He's definitely good, but hasn't beaten anyone to prove whether he's great. His best win is Dillian Whyte and Charles Martin.

I like both guys and actually want AJ to win but if he wins its always going to be because wlad is past it.

The only way he gets big credit is if wlad fights on and beats some other top HWs after losing to AJ

I think we will be able to tell fairly early on what version of Wlad AJ is in against.

I'll give AJ credit anyway if he beats Wlad, but it might be tempered somewhat by how good or otherwise Wlad actually looks.

50/50 fight for me. May the best man win and the winner will certainly get some credit from me.

Alot of the loud mouths who are saying "Wlad is going to do what he should have done to Fury," and "the time is now" crap, are going to be the ones using up all the excuses in the book. If Wlad wins all credit given from me, AJ had a tremendous reputation going into the fight, which is reflected by the bookies having him as the favorite to win. Lol

Always a have your cake and eat it too scenario with some of these guys (and transgenders). The excuses will always be laughable.

If AJ wins, he wins. He has a win over a 41 year old Klitschko, which is a far sight better than wins over Whyte, Martin, Breazeale, Molina .....
... no, it doesn't make him a "great" but it would show for sure that he can claim to be at least as good as anyone out there right now, and perhaps better.
NO ONE, apart from Fury, has a win of that significance currently. And Fury's gone for the time being.

BUT ... People shouldn't get carried away with what this fight "MEANS" in terms of significance.

Winning probably means more to Wladimir, only because he's old and he's coming off a loss. Another loss would suggest retirement. A win puts him on top again, for sure.
But it's still just a win over an 18-0 prospect.

Truth is, this fight is a VERY INTERESTING fight, but the prestige attached to the win for both fighters will be fleeting.
We have an unproven guy who has no wins of note on his record up against an old guy who hasn't won a fight in 2 years.

I got AJ by KO. I think I've said it like 4 or 5 times. Voted in multiple polls.

But TheyDontBoxAnymore, why do feel the need for someone to validate of refute your beliefs ? Its not that important what others will make of AJ if he loses or not. Especially from some of the ******* type of poster on here. F them

If AJ loses he will still have a bright future ahead

We know Klitschko is "Fury's leftovers" already.
    It's a matter of record.
Whether Wlad wins or not, he lost clearly last time out to Fury and has done NOTHING since.
    That's just an inescapable fact.

Yes but Fury didn't really do anything and Wlad barely threw punches. I think even Fury was surprised he won. If AJ beats Wlad in more dominant fashion. I think Fury's leftover case won't hold much water.

The new guy that beats up the old guy always bears this burden. Nothing new. There is no conspiracy here. In some cases it's justified and in some cases, it's not. Despite the inconvenience, they must be judged on a case by case basis. I will reserve judgement until after the fight.

Tyson Fury still won clearly, against a Wladimir on an 11-year win streak.
AJ's fighting a Wlad who is coming off that loss and a lay-off.
It's quite clear that whatever AJ does a win over Wladimir now can't rank quite as high as Fury's win.

Let's give Anthony Joshua all the credit he deserves if he wins this fight.
But it would be wrong to over-credit him and to do so at the expense of Tyson Fury.

If he wins here AJ will have other opportunites in the future to surpass Tyson Fury.

I can respect that. Hopefully he can get Fury down the road and shut that clown up.

If he wins this fight his chances of getting that fight increase.
I think Fury will be motivated to come back to prove himself too.

Still, the biggest hurdle for AJ is beating Wlad on Saturday.
I actually think Wlad's got this.

If he wins, he's picked up a win over an atg, has the best resume and looks the most impressive of all the belt holders. The division runs through him at that point, both for that reason and the money that he commands.
