So we might get Dawson-Hopkins now!!!!

Hopkins will never fight Dawson, he knows better.

 

Dawson is beatable but Hopkins is too old for it.

 

Hopkins gonna fight Haye.

 

Oh yeah, I bet Hopkins is quivering at the thought of having to fight the feared Dawson, AKA the same guy that went life and death with an opponent Hopkins KOed over 10 years ago when he was in his prime.

Or is it the same Dawson that had such a dissapointing fight with Tarver that he had to fight him again, when Hopkins at 44 gave Tarver a straight ass whuppin so bad that Tarver barely survived.

Dawson is a guy that can only counterpunch in the ring. He has no idea how to fight going foward, and Hopkins who is a multi dimensional fighter has a way of making guys fight his fight. Lord help Dawson if he has to go foward against Hopkins because Hopkins will make him pay.

 

Let's that B-Hop performs well tonight.

 

i would prefere hopkins to fight adamek or haye. if he fights dawson then i think he will lose because everyone thinks dawson is going to be the next P4P king so in a close fight dawson will get the decision.

 

My guess is that Hopkins next fight will be against either:-

Bute @170
Pascal @ 175 (if he beats Diocanu)
Adamek @ 200.

These fights would all generate more money than Dawson, and would be both winnable and highly respected.

Got this sneaky feeling a Bute fight could happen.

 

We won't see Hopkins-Dawson. It seems to be popular to think it's because Hopkins somehow is scared to fight Chad, but the bottom line is he's not going to fight Dawson because there's nothing to gain out of it. What do his last 4 big opponents have in common? They were all either lineal or ring champions. Dawson doesn't bring to the table any new accomplishment for Hopkins to target, nothing that says to Hopkins "This is the guy I need to fight".

 

Maybe he'll go to heavyweight now? First Adamek then Haye?

He might beat his way to a win over Adamek but Haye would DESTROY him.

 

One can only hope

 

1) Watch video of Johnson at middleweight and JOhnson at light heavyweight. You can't even recognize the middleweight version.
2) Both Johnson victories were clear.
3) Dawson rematched Tarver because of a rematch clause.
4) Hopkins at his age has to pick his fights carefully. He is not fighting Dawson.

 

I hope he still does the Jones fight. I've been waiting YEARS to see that rematch. It is a piece of unfinished business in Hopkins career.

 

I honestly think Hopkins wants no parts of Dawson. He's all wrong for him a big guy with a great jab, fast hands, good movement, can throw every punch in the book goes to the body. I would be shocked if he took on Bad Chad.
