    Well Joshua did change his fighting style to beat Ruiz so style probably had a lot to do with how the fights played out.

    The tactic was a change in style.

    If Julio Cesar Chavez could only beat someone on his bike, and decides to get on his bike, he's changing his style as a tactical move.

    What AJ did was a change in style, specially as people refer to styles as in movers/slick boxers/swarmers/boxer-puncher etc. AJ went from an aggressive boxer-puncher style to a runner. Its a good thing that he can switch up his style, as I can't see someone like Brandon Rios boxing being slick on his backfoot overnight. It did help that AJ had a huge height advantage to pull it off.
