After watching his fight against Judah, are you more or less impressed with Garcia and his standing @ 140?

I was really impressed at Garcia's timing Zab's jab and throwing a quick right counter, also does great work to the body. He has good sense in there. But he has no jab and isn't quick on his feet. He won't fare well vs Mathysse or Peterson.

Decent enough performance from both guys Judah showed a lot of heart and Danny did what he needed to do.Im happy enough with him at the top of the division nobody has come close to beating him and he's carrying serious weight in both hands so he's always gonna be dangerous, seems to have a good chin on him too.

    Can't hate

I've got to be honest, I was surprisingly impressed with this skillset. Agree with you on his punches being slow, but his timing is excellent indeed. He essentially beat Judah using his right hand exclusively. I also thought he looked massive in the ring compared to Judah (possibly jumping to welter soon?)Anyways, I'm still not 100% sure what to think of how he fares against Matthysse. He showed a pretty damn good beard against Zab, but on the other hand he seemed to fade late in that fight which could be disastrous against Lucas.

For a supposedly flat footed plodder he did very well agaisnt a tricky well schooled boxer.
He showed he is adaptable and can change up the game plan to get the victory and not as one dimensional as people think.

He'll beat both Mathysse or Peterson.

I agree,I rate Matthysse and Peterson very highly but Garcia seems to be a beast at the weight.Hes got decent skills and the power is enough to stop anyone in their tracks.Lucas Matthysse is not invincible Humberto Soto had him back peddling in the first few rounds of their fight so he can be stopped in his tracks by decent counter punching.Peterson can also be hurt but he has the heart of a lion as he showed when he fought Victor Ortiz. Its a wide open division but I think Garcia is the best of the bunch and will most likely move up and win titles at 147 very soon.

I expected him to do much better.

But it doesn't matter, we got the super Zab dance, that's what the fight was all about. :yep

I was actually impressed Judah managed to show some fighting heart for once in his glass riddled boxing career.

I rated Dannys performance, he was much better on the front foot than I gave him credit for. He's not hard to hit tho if his chin wasn't rock solid Judah might have knocked him out, he ate some bombs

I still think Peterson and Matthysse beat him, but he's def gone up in my estimation

Watch his fight with Ashley Theophane. Hard to score that one for Danny

I was impressed by Danny's right hand to the head & body, Garcia defo proved that he is not just a "Left hook". That said Zab managed to show some of Danny's weak spots aswell.

Garcia is very stationary & can be hit in combination almost every time.
(One punch at a time will not cut it Vs. Danny)

He can be tagged & hurt but you have to be willing to absorb.

for 8 or 9 rounds i was very impressed

10,11 and 12 either should be a warning sign or just a badge of honor, not many young guns survive those sorts of onslaughts

he got tested again in his young career and adversity is good

even in 10 11 and 12 when he was getting hit he would land hard shots in return

Danny, coming off an injury, turned in a very solid 7 to 8 rounds, against the most "physically" gifted boxer he's faced so far. I didn't like how he was only going for the KO near the end, which facilitated Zab being able to counter him at will, but it was a learning experience.

Theophane put up a spirited effort but lost the fight imo,it seems everytime an underdog pushes a close fight people automatically look to say they should have got the w.Where is Theophane now and where is Danny??

Ashley Theophane went back to England and got outboxed and embarrassed by Darren Hamilton and Danny Garcia unified the toughest division in boxing.

I expected a little more out of Danny I guess thats Cus in fights like these Usually Zab comes out of them not looking so well.... or at least thats has been the theme of Judahs career step up get knocked out.

But to me just after the weigh in during the Showtime post weigh in interview, Danny did look drained, he looked gaunt and well you could see he was dried out just by the way his mouth was moving it was as if he was fighting cotton mouth

I assume he will be moving up soon I think he has been having trouble making 140
