I'll be impressed if Wilder can stop even this version of Liakhovich early, if Wilder can't stop Liakhovich early then he may be in trouble, how will he react when somebody can take his power and keep marching him down?

Wilder is the exact same weight as when he kayoed Harrison.

Liakhovich is the exact same weight as when he gave Helenius an unexpected run for his money.

Should be a good scrap for as long as it lasts. Liakhovich has a lot of miles on him but Wilder is so untested who knows could happen? If Wilder wins Schaefer says he will fight the Arreola-Mitchell winner.....

    Interesting. :think

For the good of the division I hope it pans out to be Wilder vs. Mitchell - we don't need Arreola clogging up our screens like his own arteries with his lack of discipline anymore. Liakhovich, well, even if he upsets Wilder he probably doesn't have enough left in his tank for a title run - so that's another dead end.

If Wilder and Mitchell come through, at least it's new blood (even if both are flawed) and they match up nicely on paper.

I think Jennings beats both Wilder and Mitchell at this point. Mitchell to me is awful. God forbid he gets in there with a Klitschko his head will end up in the 15th row. I think Arreola blitzes Mitchell though but agree with you I am tired of retreads in the Division lets get some new contenders in the mix for title shots. :good

Liakhovich came in shape for this fight, and I was really looking at that before I could bet on him. But even at +1000, I still can't bet on him. He's going to be humiliated.

Just evaluating them regardless of their opponents, Wilder has a huge advantage right off the bat. Wilder works off the right hand, and it will land against Liakhovich. Liakhovich doesn't have a left hook that can hurt Wilder and Wilder has that 10" reach advantage. Liakhovich struggles against people who have height/reach on him.

    Wilder by TKO

Well, there is a decided gap in hand speed and raw athleticism. (there would have been even in Liakhovich's prime, but even more pronounced now) Wilder should be able to clock him early, unless Liakhovich is impeccably on point defensively - and then we'll begin to get a measure of how "real" Wilder's power is, at this level.

If Liakhovich can't stand up to it, then it will have been a triumph of youth & natural talent.

If he does, and goes on to break Wilder down and stop him - then it will be a triumph of skill and experience.
