Does that makes him a superstar? Cotto is very obviously technically superior. GGG is obviously stronger. Cotto isn't even a Middleweight.
IS THAT THE BEST OPPONENT THEY CAN FIND FOR GGG????
Because so far his resume SUCKS!!!
Not saying he isn't good. But that is a fact.
The truth is Cotto has fought everybody there is.

You guys might as well ask for Floyd to fight GGG. He beat Cotto, right???

Golovkin's resume does not suck. And beating Cotto would be a good win for Golovkin considering Cotto is a future HOFer. Cotto isn't a legit MW, but he holds the belt and he's campaigning there. Why wouldn't Golovkin go after the biggest name and the most talented fighter in his division?

Beating Cotto should mean nothing to Golovkin

    Cotto is so much smaller

Beating smaller men shouldn't get you much props

Cotto is technically superior? Based on what? We saw him fight the best of the best, we didn't see the same from GGG. Once Golovkin fights top opposition, that is when we will be able to judge his boxing ability at its fullest.

Right now we just see him crushing opposition like a tidal wave through sand castles.

Hagler was a monster but I have been critical of the fact that he didn't move up

Hopkins did eventually fight bigger guys

Hagler lost to Leonard and struggled with Hearns/Duran. Haglers over rated

God you have to love the casual fans

Lineal champ, as he should already be. He wouldn't taken 9 rounds against a legless Martinez lol

Based on seeing both many times, Cotto moves boxes and do a lot of things in the ring that makes Him a great fighter, Golovkin smother you with His streng and power, He can cut the ring but not like Cotto his defense is not like Cotto, jab not like Cotto, ****nal in His punches not the same. Strengh and power and maybe chin are the advantages of Golovkin over Cotto but His streng is enough to beat a smaller Cotto.

Some of his best wins are the smaller ATG's.

    Same for hopkins.

And cotto is atleast a hofer.

Hagler isn't overated he's a great fighter top 3 mw, but he did beat smaller men.
So why can't ggg. It all adds to resume.

Cotto has fought his last two fights against a guy with one leg and a guy who was incredibly weakened from being weight drained.

He stands little chance against GGG, and he knows it.

Then Cotto was just a bum, not a real middleweigter or just past prime.. the haters will always find reasons why GGG never will be a good boxer

Who would you pick to win the fight, Cotto or GGG?
WTF does resume have to do with it?
Cotto's belt says "Middleweight". He is a Middleweight.
    Don't like it? Vacate
(Tony Bellew voice)It's as simple as that(Tony Bellew voice)

It would make him the lineal middleweight champion of the world. I dont know what is worth of it anymore since the Cotto has already disgraced it.
