If i were him imma give kirkland step aside money and deal with canelo,i love cotto but he really messed that canelo fight.
Cotto is holding on strong to that ''WBC Middleweight Belt''. He is taking his sweet ass time and wouldn't want to risk it against the Dangerous Power Puncher GGG.
There are at least 10 fights he can take as long as he wants to fight. Canelo fight was perfect for him paycheck-wise, no idea why he didn't take it, at this point he can't get a better fight, and he doesn't have a lot time left either.

Fighteing K-9 at jr middle and take His belt and then lure Canelo at 154 is a wise decision, but doubt that happens.
