Why don't you tell us how great Jess Willard was in 1920 because he beat the almighty Floyd Johnson.

 

Since when does a fighter have to "look spectacular" to be better than Patterson? He was still good enough at that stage of his career to be better than Tyson, Moorer, and Rahman, which makes him better than Patterson as well.

Since when? He put away better and/or tougher HWs than Patterson.

Lewis with his "wrong head" on would lose to a lot of fighters. He also had fits with bruno, mavorvic and much earlier even jean chanet and ocassio. rahman did resemble liston and there is no reason a peak liston could not KO that poor lewis.

there is also the poor liston who blimped out againt ali the second time, struggled with whitehurst and marshal, summerlin and besmanoff who were not in even a poor lewis's class.
However, lewis when he is up for it is a bad match for a peak Liston, I dont think it would be that close.

Yeah, but Prime Patterson holds speed, defense, and poweer advantages over the older Evander. If it weren't for that chin I would defeintely pick Patterson over him but Evander still has that chance to knock him out.
