I guess the outcome of this fight will depend on what versions of Pacquiao and Thurman shows up to the fight. It is essentially a 50-50 pick'em fight between a legend and undefeated champion. What do you guys think?

I think that Pacquiao can turn back the clock one more time and deliver a vintage performance against a game and hungry Thurman. I see a decision for Pacquiao but it is possible he could go for the KO/TKO late if and when he senses it.

Freddie Roach, Shane Mosely, and Joe Cortez all picked Pacquiao by 9th round KO.

Vintage Pacquiao is like 1000 power shots. I seriously doubt Pacquiao is going to throw 1000 bombs, but we shall see.

I guess his punch output depends on whether Thurman does follow through and fights toe-to-toe. If Pacquiao still has it, he can throw his vintage flurries. We definitely shall see.

Also it helps that Thurman while a good fighter has always been overrated and overhyped down our throats. He's just an average run of the mill champion. Not a special fighter. Though he still has massive size and age advantages which is why I'm still picking him to win anyways.

But if Pac was up against Spence or Crawford at this point in his career he might as well not even show up to fight. Cuz it would be a blowout.

That Amir Khan fight looks more favorable now for Pacquiao. Then again, he may still want the challenges of a Spence, Porter, or Crawford. I personally don't think it does anything for his legacy at this point and there is just too much risk. Just look at what happened to Dadashev. It can happen at any time. He needs to get out before it's too late.
