ESB has seen a new wave of so called "experts" on PED's, steroids, HGH etc.....

In light of the recent steroid allegations against pac, all of a sudden you have guys posting about steroids like they are chemical engineers for balco all of a sudden........WTF????

Simple question : What was your stance on stringnet testing before all this pac/mayweather mayhem ensued??

I'm pretty sure none of you really gave a **** about it. Ya'll might have taught about it, but did not care enough for you too bring up or propose the idea to someone that can do something about it . Popular prizefighters ( mosley, vargas, toney ) have been caught before but I didn't see or hear nobody calling for it.

I would like to see it adopted across the board

there's no downside to making sure the playing field is level

I agree, but the hypocrasy of some should disgust you though.

Where were these people when mosley admitted to using steroids, or when vargas tested positive??

To adopt it now based on what happened the past few weeks between pac and mayweather is stupid. Although it would benefit boxing as a whole, how in the world did the commisions not think of this when boxers are ACUTUALLY ADMITTING AND TESTING POSITIVE FOR DRUGS instead of a disagreement between two camps on a fight not even officially signed?

I think it's because what they have been doing is enough already. Floyd can't just changed the rule by playing the media. If he ands his team are all for it, then go through the proper request and submit a petition for better testing, not single a man out.

You won't get an accurate result.

I think if you were to ask before hand most people would agree that a stronger drug testing would be a good idea, given the fact there are cheaters out there.

However, now after Pac's spectacle people will answer the commission is doing fine.

how can stinuious drug testing be a bad thing..illegal drug manufacterors and users are always one step ahead of standard testing......arthur abraham has it in his contract and gets it done before every fight..only people who complain about it are manny fans because he wont take the test....hell tyson asked holyfield to take a steroid test before their first fight..did holyfield sue??no..did holyfield drop the fight and leave all that money on the table??no..he took the test, passed and kicked mikes ass...thats what a person who's clean would do

I've always wanted a strickter method of anti-doping test done for all of boxing for a while, way before the Pac/Floyd mess. The Labs that are producing all this performance enhancing ****, are always developing stuff that is becoming harder and harder to trace. the Anti-Doping bodies need to keep up by constantly upgading their testing methods. this is **** the WBC and their likes need to be discussing during their annual meeting, but I rarely hear any mention of that. I just hear **** like, "we want to suspend Chris Arreola for all the profanity used during his post fight interview..."

    Bull****.

Modern anti-doping is far more advanced. When the next generation of EPO drugs hit the market, dopers thought they had a free pass for a upto a year of free reign. They were sorely mistaken as the pharmaceuticals are working hand in hand with the anti-dopers to formulate test methodologies.

Micera was released for sale early 2008 and the first positive came in June 2008. All the while many doping experts were still clueless that the new urine test for Micera existed. Roche labs had provided samples of the drug to Wada well in advance of it hitting the markets.

NSAC follows Wada's banned list and protocols for urine testing.

Like all issues in life, this comes down to money. We all know that the testing done by the commissions is not effective and easily beaten by GOOD cheaters. The problem is that most guys on an under card or small event don't have access to those types of drugs. All fight cards don't have a $40+ million dollar pot to absorb the costs of testing on this level.

It should be up to the fighters and/or promoters as they are the ones putting their lives and financial futures on the line and it should be facilitated by the athletic commissions. A guy can agree to test or walk away. :bbb

It should also be up to fighters and/or promoters because popular cheating fighters would just play athletic commissions against each other. One commission forces the tests... Well just move to a commission that doesn't. That is not fair for a stand up commission or the fighter trying to ensure a clean fight. :good

So in a nutshell fighters should be supported when they ask for Olympic style testing. No CONCRETE conclusions should be drawn from a guy declining, but if a guy KEEPS declining testing I think there is an obvious implication. :think

Don't you remember he was all for judah mosley blood testing?
He made 30 threads on the forum over making sure mosley accepted the blood tests.

These guys are all solid on everything they say.
They love random blood testing, always have.
They even loved the USADA and brought it up constantly before the floyd/pac fight.
