Before this I thought it was weird that the different countries, states and federations weren't using the same high standard of testing, and I still do.
In pro cycling they uncover alot of cheaters by using the newest methods all over the world, in an internationally, coordinated effort. I know boxers probably benifit less than cyclists,
but still it would be nice if boxing had developed a standard testing method for every boxer to undergo. I mean who cares if a boxers smokes marijuana, they gotta be able to find the real PED's,
the newest stuff to keep the cheaters out of the sport.
Of course the big names will probably get tested more frequently but that's part of being elite.

There's no advantage to boxing being a clean sport. Whether there are 5 drugs banned or 5,000,000, it doesn't matter. The only thing every one of us fans of boxing and other sports wants, is a level playing field. Boxing had that.

In a way, drug testing actually hinders sport because very few get away with it, such as Marion Jones. If she was clean, she'd have been as good as the rest. If her rivals didn't have more morals, they'd have been as fast as her.

I genuinely do feel that the more stringent drug testing is, the more unfair it becomes.

It's a hard subject to talk about though and I do feel drug testing has a place, but for boxing, I think things are good enough as they are.

Just another point, boxing is the most fundementally corrupt sport in the entire world. It was a criminal event in it's inception, was shady throughout it's early years, was run by the mafia and is now dictated by thieves and liars who exploit the often uneducated.

If you think you're ever going to have testing like the Olympics, you're crazy. Boxing will only get more corrupt if the testing is harder to pass.

Think about how low guys like Ă–ener, King and Shaw are. There is no way they will be stopped. None.

Exactly the kind of hypocrasy I do not want to see happen in the sport. Would it be fair if peyton manning, adrian peterson and every other pro bowler or all star basketball players get tested 100 more times than the rest?

What that does is give the "non-elites" more chances at doping aint it?
How about the same drug testing policy for everybody!!

B4 all this I always had a feeling boxing wasn't as clean as it should be (others getting caught confirmed this) but boxings always been corrupt although something definitely needs 2 be done.

no but i always thought that it was fairly doing its job when there are guys always getting caught like vargas, omar romero, chavez jr, etc. but it is a bad idea to just push it for a single fight on a premise of drug-using allegation.

so are you denying that most people do not even care about olympic style drug testing in boxing before all of this?
