I think they mesh well together, I think he would bring out chads full potential, or maybe not, look at cry baby kermit!! :rofl
nope, he will become an overly cautious 1-2 fighter and start daydreaming about blunts and titties in the middle of a fight again
I could see him loosing it in the corner like he used to with Jermain. "You're giving him the god-dam fight! He's there to be hit, and you're just standing there looking at him ffs! Wake up and let your damm hands go!!!
It could be, but it's up to Chad as to how well it turns out. He's got a shitload of talent, but he needs to apply himself on fight night 100% and fight with some consistent urgency. That's something Dawson needs to fix himself. Otherwise, when Manny goes to light a fire under him, he'll just use it to blaze up a blunt and space out again.
it might a good move. steward's specialty seem to be making tall lanky fighters use their physical assets to their advantage. hearns, lewis, klitchko. jt was just hard headed and didn't listen but he had the type of body that manny steward enjoys working with.
I think he needs Floyd Sr. back, but Emmanuel is good. I think he can crack the top 10 p4p list again
I honestly don't know. Ever since Johnson it seems Dawson has been incredibly tentative, I don't know if that's Muhammed's influence but it's also likely because he gets hurt a lot. He was rocked repeatedly by Pascal and Johnson. If that's the case I don't know how much Steward can get him to overcome it.
i like Manny Steward but not as a trainer in 2010. During the 70's and 80's I think he had a real impact on the sport. Now, I think he's antequated in the way he goes about teaching fundamental boxing skills as well as the mindset that goes along with the work ethic to really develop into a serious boxerl. Kids these days have a different mindset from guys like Hearns, Holyfield or Mustafa. Even Prior or Spinx . I just don't think a guy like Manny with all his knowledge and massive trainer skill can be the difference in Dawson. What made him come out so lackadaisical against Pascal? I just don't think there's this major problem that has to be fixed. But ol Manny sure was there to capitalize on a good thing.
