Has there been a more muddled mess in the history of boxing than the heavyweight situation the WBA are trying to resolve now?

Also am I the only person who thought it was hugely unprofessional of the organisation to name Haye as their preferred champion? WTF. Are bodies going to openly state who they'd rather win fight now?

It's a shame because the premise itself was quite nice. I think it really sums up how difficult it can be just making two guys fight even if it's a mini tournament for a world title...

**** Haye, I hope he never gets a sniff for a belt again unless it's made by Diadora

ortiz most deff a ducked fighter. i dont think theres anyone really down to fight him like that.
idk how much money he brings to the table. and he prolly should have stayed with gbp for a little more longer.

the ustinov fight fell thru which is a shame. cuz ustinov is a solid fighter and maybe would have been a threat to ustinov but still ortiz woulda been able to catch him and hurt no doubt in my mind.

and ortiz to me really can prolly beat any heavys out there but him failing that drug tests maybe is the reason why he has so much difficulty getting fight and maybe its for good reason.

ortiz is kinda inactive and whenever there is a guy like haye , wilder, or aj looking for a fight ortiz is never an option .

But being stripped of that paper belt is actually a good thing for him if he really wants to fight Joshua or Wilder, in fact even Fury because we know the WBA aren't going to force Fury to do anything until Ortiz is in his 60s.

The other 3 sanctioning bodies, particularly the IBF, are strict on fighting mandatories, so if he started working his way into the rankings now, he could become IBF mandatory after Parker and get a shot at whoever the champ is by early 18

Ortiz might be the best out there at this moment in time Golden Boy might not have the right connection to get him a title shot.

Looking at the Alphabet rankings, Ortiz is not ranked by the WBC, IBF or WBO. Not even in the top 15! What BS. I highly doubt the WBC, IBF, or WBO champs want to fight him. Way too much risk and too little of a reward.
However, Ortiz is ranked #1 vs the WBA, meaning he'll have a chance at the winner of Fury vs Wlad II.

My prediction, the winner of Wlad vs Fury II will vacate their WBA Belt rather than fight Ortiz, and keep the WBO, meaning Ortiz will get his shot at the title Ustinov or Oquendo. We shall see.
