    Mayweather alluded to his story being fake, and I've seen others say the same. Anyone with any insight?

    He actually grew up in Greenwich CT, his father was a hedge fund manager and his mother a loving stay at home mom.

    Flatlander knows something about this. I think he, or one of his buddies, used to train Ortiz as a kid in Garden City. I'm not sure of details, so you should ask him.

    Well the guy was basically raising his younger brother on his own for a while after his parents ran out. No ione denys this.

    So it was a pretty tough unbringing regardless

    Funny how he never mentions that Rick Lopez, Sr. of Denver, CO took him in when he was in high school and coached him at Strictly Boxing in Colorado.
