Yes because I understand how certain styles can effect others...Martinez makes fighters turn and reset, which is something that you will have to do vs Kirkland, I dont think that any of the beltholders will have the power to slow Kirkland..Sergi is good but he fights in a line..forwards and backwards, not much step to step or slipping and spinning...Forrest is old and will crumble under the pressure, Santos would get whacked out standing in front of Kirkland...Im not saying that Kirkland is a world beater, in fact I stated somewhere that he reminds me alot of Jeff Lacy with a jab and more heart, but givin the state of Jr middle this could be the right time for a fighter like him..Most of the guys at the top are made to order for him.

doesnt box much the only reason why julio quit is because he was running a track meet an he was clearly gas but that mustve been because he must have felt kirklands power almost reminded of a poor man's cotto margarito. I think he was clearly gassed then more from being hurt julio worked harder than kirkland all thru the fight. Kirkland on the other hand needs new trainer seems better on his toes than lacy but more lacy like to me = overrated when he gets in there w/ people that can box my 2 cents!

If you say so... Julio didn't have any problems landing on Kirkland tonight. Only difference was that Kirkland was obviously the bigger and stronger of the two and could take the punishment better.

Angulo on the other hand is a natural 154 lber just like Kirkland.... and something tells me he could land just as effectively as Julio did, and if that's the case then Kirkland would be in for one hell of a fight.

No. Sergei doesn't fight in lines going front and back. he employs very
subtle lateral movements at the right time and fires back hard and accurate counters. Ones that would hurt kirkland. Yes, the pressure would be a problem for the ukrainian, but kirkland was a very determined flawed
fighter tonight against a better fightrer that didn't want it as bad. If sergei came in against james like he did against santos then I see a late stoppage for the ukrainian. However, if sergei came in like he did against
konecty then he might get stopped. The point is that sergei is a better
    fighter than kirkland by far.
Dzin vs martinez would be a great fight, and one that might get made faster as well.

PW is head and shoulders above the rest...santos for me is the best 154 outside PW but kirkland is definitely top 5 right now and yes can beat anybody at 154 outside williams

How is Santos better than the undefeated Dzinzurak, when they fought Santos got dominated.

The thing about Joel tonight was that he seemed to kinda quit on himself, which, Angulo probably wouldn't do. So, saying Angulo wouldn't box Kirkland better might not be entirely accurate. I just think Joel is a better all-around fighter than Angulo. That was my point.

PW sure hasn't done much to garner that kind of acclaim. JMO. Beating an old Verno didn't show me anything.

    Kelly would knock him out.

I can see Kirkland becoming the King of 154 pretty soon, and he is actually growing as a fighter also!!!
