Yeah I have noticed that, if I had placed this post in the lounge, I would have been torn to shreds. People here seem relaxed, and I know Mcgrain isn't shy about sharing boxing knowledge
in the general forum they often resort to name calling, its more arguing than discussing/debating.if you dont agree with them on something it makes you a *****/ho,which im neither of. i just jump from forum to forum tho,get a piece of all the action
If you are interested in boxing history and wish to discuss it with like minded people then this is the forum to come to. The least we will do is show you a few interesting new perspectives on a given issue, whether we convince you or not.
People here actually discuss things for the most part, and from an educated standpoint. And you get educated, which is good. And for the most part it's cordial, with some banter back and forth. Little if any name calling, people respectfully agree to disagree. There is some really serious boxing knowledge the folks in here have as a group. Some are really a notch above. Always learning something in here. They are also good at getting down to specific tactical levels, of fights and isuues.
This place is a breath of fresh air if you are from a town/state with little appreciation of boxing, as I am. The posters here are by and large better than any other forum. Even the posters labeled by some as trolls usually offer extensive explanations of their sometimes unpopular opinions. The problem I have is that the posters in this forum are the only ones I care to discuss current fights/fighters with, and that makes me feel off topic in a "classic" forum.
Hey, how do you feel about some of the greats? Pep, Armstrong, Sanders, Ali etc etc? Just want to see where youll stand on issues :good
Quite honestly theres nothing to do but read, post and engage. The rest will take care of itself, this really doesn't need 3 pages
