So when is Haye announcing who he's fighting next?

I've never seen Bidenko, Golota would be a good pick.

 

He will probably go for an old bum with name recognition like Toney or Rahman.

 

Keven Johnson is a rumour on the GF (for what thats worth).

 

I heard he wanted to give Enzo a rematch.

Bidenko is easiest option out of all of them. He could bumrush Golota and KO him in the first.

No, he is not Top 10, was just an example that nearly "everybody" want´s to fight Haye who doesn´t have any fights in shedule.

Povetkin may be a fat out of condition lard but he still has excellent workrate. He would outwork Haye over 12.

"The hunt for an opponent for David Haye continues to be surrounded by great mystery, but it is winding its way toward a conclusion.

Haye vacated the legitimate cruiserweight championship to move up for good to heavyweight and is scheduled -- with much fanfare -- to fight Nov. 15 at London's O2 Arena.

British broadcaster Setanta's contract with Haye (21-1, 20 KOs) stipulates that he must fight an opponent ranked in the top 10 by one of the major sanctioning organizations. But many of the notable names are unavailable because of other bouts already scheduled. So far, the Haye camp has run through a litany of opponents, and time is running out with a promotion to kick off and organizers hoping to put on a press conference to announce the bout as soon as next week.

One source with knowledge of the search told me that offers were made to Andrew Golota and former titlist Oleg Maskaev, but both were rejected because they weren't deemed rich enough.

On Tuesday night, Haye's manager/trainer, Adam Booth, instructed Golden Boy Promotions, Haye's American promoter, to extend an offer to rising contender Kevin Johnson (20-0-1, 7 KOs), who knocked out aging former titlist Bruce Seldon last week.

Johnson, owner of one of the best jabs in the business and a very skilled boxer, has wanted a quality opponent to prove himself against, but there have been no takers. But now Haye has come calling, most likely because Johnson is not a big puncher and Haye's chin has shown vulnerability.

Johnson promoter Joe DeGuardia of Star Boxing told ESPN.com Wednesday night that his company is interested even though the fight is in England and there are no firm U.S. TV plans (although if Johnson takes it, it would behoove somebody to pick up the very interesting bout).

It remains to be seen if a deal can be agreed to, but the camps are already talking about airline tickets and other peripheral deal points. Haye's money offer to Johnson is low compared to offers that were made to others, but it's a fight that Johnson would be wise to accept. If he doesn't take it, he can't complain that nobody will fight him. It's worth the risk even if the money (in low six-figures) isn't as good as it probably should be.

For the past year, I've heard Johnson and DeGuardia complain that none of the name boxers will fight him. For example, Johnson wanted to face another rising contender, Cristobal Arreola, who has a Nov. 29 HBO fight scheduled but does not have an opponent. Arreola's camp, however, was not interested.

Now, Johnson, 29, has Haye, as notable a name as there is, making him an offer. Haye is looking forward to a possible title fight with Wladimir Klitschko next year, so Johnson could spoil a lot of plans with a victory.

And if the deal is made, what a fun promotion it would be, because Haye and Johnson both have a colorful gift for gab.

The favorite all along to land the fight with Haye, 27, has been ex-heavyweight champ Hasim Rahman. His name has been mentioned prominently in media reports on both sides of the Atlantic. But although the sides have been talking, Rahman manager Steve Nelson told me that they haven't received a financial offer yet.

"We'd love to fight Haye and they keep saying we're the leading candidate, but if that is true, why has there been no offer? Maybe the Haye camp is a little freaked out by what happened to Amir Khan last week," Nelson said.

England's Khan, of course, was knocked out in one round by Breidis Prescott in a match second-guessed even before the bell rang.

That's not the kind of ending Haye has in mind."
