Oh yeah, I appreciate the situation with Palle, I just worry that he will find himself like David Tua in a few years. Not weighing 18 stone, but wrapped up in legal wranglings that **** his career up for good.

Yep. And my initial point, from earlier in the thread was, how will fighting tomato cans for two years affect him when he finally does get back in the ring with a legitimate contender? I hope not at all, but there's a risk.

What I've never seen succintly stated is: what does Palle want to do with him that MK doesn't want to do? I presume, Palle wants "mandatory" type fights on home soil and MK wants top 5 guys wherever the fight can be made.

But why would Palle dig in his heels like this? It doesn't make any financial sense to me. It's not like it sets a precedent as he'll likely never have such a talented fighter again. And is the contract for a number of fights (in which case MK should just fight the damn things and be done with it) or for a time duration (which seems to be the case).

Any info on that appreciated. Hell, write an article and submit it to the front page.

My guess is that Palle is making a killing by pairing Kessler against C-level fighters, and at no risk to his gravy train. I'm sure he dictates all the terms, no matter who Kessler is facing. The splits are probably ridiculously tilted toward Kessler. If Kessler fights a big name, the split will be different, and he runs the risk of Kessler getting another 'L', which could further damage his drawing/earning power. That's just a guess though.
