So, where do we stand with PPV in 2016?

The fact of the matter is that last night YOU HAD TO PAY to see a fight between two British HW NOVICES fighting for a VACANT BRITISH BELT.

Now that in it's self is absolutely appalling behaviour.

Campbell (an Olympian) lost. So there's no putting him on PPV with the tag of "There's an Olympian on there and etc for £15".

Bellew is boring. So the movie star tag won't cut it.

Mitchell (a big ticket seller by himself) got stopped.

Brook is fighting either mandatories or is injured.

So what effect does this all have on PPV in 2016? Who do we get to see if we have to pay to see mismatches?

What or who would swing it for you being on PPV?

Haye won't be PPV (too unreliable).

Brook is going the same way.

Joshua will face who exactly to make it PPV worthy? Charr? Chisora?

Quigg/Frampton will be PPV, but after that Quigg won't be PPV as Carl is the only other star in that division.

Will PPV even be valid next year?

Bi monthly Pay per Poos by 2017 according to Big Abdul if the mugs keep paying.

Fortnightly canfests on Sky Sports and every fight above 70/30 on Pay per Poo.

The only way to stop it is to stop feeding Sky money

I think Hearn will be gutted about Campbell and Mitchell losing.

It would have been Crolla Vs Mitchell PPV with Campbell on the undercard then Crolla/Mitchell Vs Campbell PPV and Burns on that undercard then Burns Vs Champion PPV.

It would have been kept in house for well over 12 months and they would have all been PPV cards and justified because they were domestic world title fights.

Not all World Title fights are PPV fights and on the contrary we have recently seen Pay per Poo for fights without any belts

Hearn's criteria for a Pay per Poo Fight

    1. Invent a grudge
    2. Put the fighters on the same cards
    3. Ensure post fight interviews are full of challenging the other fighter
    4. Spout out stacked card

    Then it is on

Joshua is the hottest name around British boxing at the moment

I have a sports memorabilia company I supply hundreds of charity events with their memorabilia for fundraising each year

Last five years framed mike tyson boxing gloves have been our best selling boxing item by far. Ali would be more popular but too expensive.

This year Joshua framed gloves are outselling tyson framed gloves

The public are on the bandwagon and after last night his fights will be even more popular

So in answer to the question I think every card with Joshua on will be PPV until he loses

And the arena will sellout in double quick time as well like the last fight

Last night they also covered the Joshua fight on five live and they would only normally cover big world title fights on there live

Whether you like it or not you have to accept Joshua is a big attraction for the British public

Bear in mind that the Matchroom deal is with Sky Sports, this doesn't include Box Office so you'll also have any card with David Haye, Tyson Fury, Mayweather (if he fights Pac, Khan or Brook).

I'd imagine if (when?) Frampton beats Quigg on the back of the SBO hype, that he'd be a "PPV fighter" as well depending on the opponent.

Hearn has been cold on Haye's return so I doubt that they will put him on PPV in the short term. Fury is technically a free agent TV wise so he could pop up anywhere.

Campbell losing is a blow as is Mitchell. I suspect every Joshua fight from now on is PPV regardless of opposition.

So in 2016 I'd imagine we will get Frampton/Quigg and Fury Klitschko II on PPV plus four Joshua fights on PPV.

That's the reality of the situation. Joshua is extremely popular and sky and matchroom are cashing in on that popularity.

Hearn said his blown away by the numbers for last night.

Still I don't think every fight needs to be Ppv. I mean Joshua vs chisora on Ppv, cmon.
