So, where do we stand with PPV in 2016?

Hearn has already said on Twitter that Joshua will be out next on April 9th at the 02. Quigg Frampton is Feb 27 and Fury Wlad will most likely be late May. So thats your first 3 PPVs of the year.

I'd also expect Hearn stacked card special in the summer and potentially Brook Khan.

    Get saving lads.

    Define a Promoter's job?

Matchroom are good at it, and their model seems to be working. It was a fun fight last night; all that is was billed and arguably a bit more.

Boxing and PPV has been together for nearly twenty years now (in the UK), and is probably going to have a stronger relationship in the next few years, not least because the UK is producing talent that people are prepared to pay to see.

That the sport is going through a boon, may annoy the 'Pro Punter's' of this world, but there are far more people that are delighted with the strength in depth of the talent in this Country.

    Where is the boom?

This year has been full of shyte month after month.

The Oobanks and Joshua fights were very good but for every good fight this year, we have had to endure at least 10 times the pile of shyte.

Klit v Fury and Pac v Money pathetic fights.

Eubanks Jnr is now a Pay per Poo fighter

There is a big article about sky viewing figures from boxing news last week

Reason Joshua has gone PPV is that his boxing matches generate more fans than recent world title matches on sky

Biggest sky sports regular boxing audience this year so far was Joshua v Cornish which drew 336,000 viewers

That was more than TREBLE the audience that the Quigg/Martinez and Perez/Crolla double header world titled bill drew in viewers

World titles are irrelevant to PPV it's entirely down to the popularity of the fighter

I'm selling Joshua frames boxing gloves for between 300 quid and 500 quid in charity auctions

I couldn't get 50 quid for crolla or quigg - nobody outside mainstream boxing knows who they are

My son's under 12 football team were all re-inacting Joshua's uppercut this morning in the dressing room before the match

    They all know who is

He's biggest name and draw in British boxing and Fury probably up there with him

Froch and Groves caught the imagination recently but now it's Joshua and Fury

So who's happier people who spent money on PPV to watch mayweather/paq or the ones who spent it on Joshua last night

With Joshua fights you know 100 per cent there is going to be serious action regardless of titles on the line or not

I do not think you quite understand.

Lil Floyd/Manny was probably the biggest fight since Tyson/Spinks it was huge, a massive success.

With Wlad/Tyson we (the Brits) got at best our third ever Heavyweight World Champion (THE).

We have a number of Olympic Champions and the 'class of 2012' approaching world class.

We have at least a dozen fighters who are legitimate calls for top ten rated world fighters in their division.

A few years after I began watching the sport we had one title holder (Dennis Andries).

Since 1945 we have not had it so good, it is unlikely to get any better for British boxing. So if you are still unhappy, perhaps being part of the boxing fancy is not for you?!

Pac v Money was absoliute dog turd and the only purpose was for both multi millionnaires to squeeze as much Wonga as possible out of the general public mugs.

These ****s would sell you your own p-iss

Ask anyone who watched Pac v Money and everyone with a few exceptions will say pile of shyte.

Fury v Klit - different arris's same pile of shyte.

That Joshua fight should be what Sky Sports viewers should reasonably expect to see as part of their subscription.

Ricky Hatton only went Pay per Poo when he challenged for the World Title. Fook me Joshua fighting a relatively unknown for the British Title.

Pay per Poo my arris :lol:

I think boxing is not for you. If you cannot get into a fight of that magnitude, I suspect you never will.

Boxing is now mainly about hype and politics; and Lil Floyd/Pacman delivered big.

With British boxing going through such a good spell it is probably best to not go down the PPV route. More people will get to see these good British fighters if they fight on regular Sky.

Don't kill the momentum with PPV.

How the **** did we end up here? Paying for domestic fights on top of what we pay for Sky and Sky sports. How can anyone say it was worth it? when this should have been what we pay the subscription for. Soon enough there will be a nominal fee for any fight....
