Will he become a champ again, and who does he win the belt from? What else is there for Cotto to do at 147? Can he move up successfully to 154? Thoughts?

He will still be a force @ 147 that's for sure. He'll become world champ again.

He shouldn't think about going up in weight. So far he's beaten Kelson Pinto, Carlos Quintana, and Michael Jennings to win his three belts. Considering the talent level of those guys, I say he can win a title.

He should just take it easy and find himself.
Dude is always taking the toughest challenges and has taken a beating in the past year or so.
He's only 29....has atleast 3 years of his prime left hopefully.
Iono if he can do another megafight without finding himself...Cotto looked lost against Pacman(who doesn't), but Cotto is a quality fighter, A level fighter who's been in a slump.
Not saying Cotto should fight tomato cans, but competitive opponents that will help rebuild him.

Iono a boxer who has gone through the drama Cotto has gone through from Mosley to Margarito to Clot all the way to Pac....Cotto is definately the toughest gamer out there, sad how things turned out for such a dedicated fighter.

Agreed. Miguel needs to take a vacation and get a break from the sport. Then he needs to take a few tune ups to get his timing and confidence back.

Then maybe, in time, he can look for a rematch with Margo or Mosley.

LMAO... If anyone stands a chance of becoming a champion again it's Miguel Cotto. He'll probably get a title fight in his tuneup. Again.

    Fight Cintron in Puerto Rico

Fight the winner of Berto/Mosley since they woudnt have anywhere else to go.

    Fight a Margarito rematch.

    He has plenty of options.

How about a Collazo fight in PR that would be nice.

Also he needs to make up with Evangelista and get him back in his corner.

I think Cotto should work with Nazim or Roach. Would either one of those trainers work with Cotto? In my opinion either one of those trainers would be best for Cottos future in boxing.

I don't think Cotto should really move up in weight anymore, but considering he shouldn't be fighting on much longer I think he could try and grab Yuri Foreman's belt to extend his accomplishments and become a three weight world champion. It may be a bad idea, I haven't really thought it through but I think it could be something to consider.

Sounds like we all agree, Miguel:

    1. Take a vacation

    2. Hire a world class trainer

    3. Tune up fight in PR

    4. Pick up winner of Mosley/Berto

    5. Rematch with Margarito who should be coming off suspension about that time

    6. Rematch with Pac Man for Unified, Undisputed WW Championship
