    :lol::rofl:patsch

Yeah, his striking really looked new and improved when shot, slow, feather fisted Nog nearly flattened him. Mir is a Glass Jawed Joke and he'll be brutally and embarassingly KOed AGAIN the next time they match him with a puncher.

Mir is really a gatekeeper for the upper tier of HW's. He is chinny and easy to hit but offers a threat if his opponant makes a mistake. I don't think he has the tools to actually impose a gameplan and beat any of the top guys but he can deffo catch them if they get sloppy. I'd say he's a guy you need to beat on the way to a title shot but I can't see him lasting a round against the elite strikers like CV's and JDS.

What surprises me about Mir is that he doesnt really progress or learn from past mistakes. He's lucky the fight wasn't stopped when Nob was raining punches to his head. When is he going to learn that blocking punches with the face is not an effective strategy. Mir seems to have no regard to defense, especially when he is getting pinned against the fence or ground, like against Carwin, Brock, and Nog.

With 3 decent wins, he is probably 5th.

    JDS
    Cain
    Brock
    Reem
    Mir

I'm a Mir fan but Cain should be able to beat him up quite comfortably. Frank will probably be too lazy with his boxing and Cain explosive. He'll lose the wrestling battle but a horrendous sub is always possible.

Big Nog hits really ****in hard.

And this is still the same old Mir.

He will get beat by anyone good that doesn't just give him the fight.

    Champion : dos Santos

    Challenger's : Velasquez , Carwin , Lesnar , Overeem ,
    This content is protected
    , Werdum

Fringe Level : Schaub , Nogueira , Kongo , Nelson

Outside of the UFC there is Cormier , Barnett and Antonio Silva who would all be great fights for Mir

The fight that makes sense is Velasquez Mir but a very pointless excersise IMHO , he'll push for the Lesnar Overeem winner but i feel his fait is sealed and he'll be fighting Cain

Ive been banging this drum for a long time , but he's older now and his work ethic even his early 20's was his achilles heel , he's too big , he needs to be around 235-40 because his stand up is actually some of the better stand up in the division , but if he has no cardio / agility he's going to struggle , i thought he looked a mess against Cro Cop and Nelson but squeezed out wins , he was on his back dazed and startled against Nog and his grappling came through , the warning signs are there , he's gonna get brutalised again pretty soon :deal

He's going to replace Overeem at UFC 141 for a rubber match with Brock. If he wins - he gets a title shot.

Overeem is set to fight Brock from all accounts.

It's just a rumor at this point.

He has a meeting with the NSAC today, and it's most likely to get his license.
