So where does Hopkins rank now all-time?

I think there were clear cut winners in BOTH of those fights, regardless of how close they were.

Leonard beat Hagler just as Calzaghe beat Hopkins IMO. I scored both fights very similar (winning margins of 4 points).

True. Like I just mentioned more agree with the judges than disagree. I'd say the Leonard-Hagler split was at least 60-40 in favour of Ray, even more said Calzaghe won, maybe even a 70-30 split.

I really don't know how in the hell anyone can say that Hopkins-Calzaghe was a robbery, when the punch output was 2-1 in favor of Joe. Christ, as I watched that fight I can remember thinking " my god, how does he keep it up at age 36? " Hopkins looked good in round 1 when he scored the knockdown, but beyond that, I didn't see much from him.

True. You can tell by the scorecards anyway. I don't mean Hopkins dicksmokers on here (or Joe's for that matter) but the general consensus. The ones who voted Hopkins had it by a point, virtually to a man, whereas Calzaghe's margin was anywhere between 1 and 4.

Also, Hopkins' play-acting in the 10th and 11th was pathetic. He had an eternity to recover from that low blow in the former, the next round he claimed low again- it wasn't and Crotez never ruled low, so Joe should have been able to carry on and waded in. No robbery, never in a million years. But people will see what they want to see and that'll never change.

I was LMAO when he was called on his acting job by Max Kellerman after the fight. They reviewed it on the screen, showing that there really was no legitimate low blow, then watched Bernard sink to the floor with his hands over his crotch. Hopkins didn't know what to say, but rather sounded like a bumbling fool..Needless to say, he made an arse out of himself in front of the whole civilized world.

If you were just watching amazed at the number of punches and not looking if they landed I understand how you'd think this :yep

I'll repeat again Calazage did nothing but hit air/gloves/arms/shoulders with his slaps, these arent scoring shots, I don't care if you throw a million of them. Calazage would literally miss every punch in a 12punch combo.

Hopkins tagged him again and again on the button with flush shots, these shots are scoring shots

Now most don't have a trained eye to see shots landed and shots missed so I'll fogive you, but your wrong

On that second occasion, Hopkins should've been given an 8 count and a 10 8 round. You can't just take a knee, put your hands at your crotch and expect to be given free time. Just like in soccer you can get a yellow card for diving or asking the opponent to be given a card.

I don't think the fight was that close either, clear win for Calzaghe after a rough start. Just because Hopkins performed better than expected doesn't mean it's a win for him, not to mention a "robbery".
