Pavlik is a straightforward, which must have had B-Hop salivating at Uncle Bob's stupid offer. So, is he another Lacy, or Kelly going to be able regroup against some MW contender and redeem himself against Abraham?
I knew when this fight was made it could be potentially disasterous. Arum is an idiot for making this offer. He moves Kelly up 10lbs to face a hall of famer whos slick and crafty. Pavlik needs to move down to 160 where he should be. And at MW there are great fights to be made. A fight with Abraham would be a barnburner. Pavlik was really exposed in this fight. Its tough to ignore. He was always one-dimensional but whats troubling is his inability to make adjustments and how easily dominated he was. Jack Loew got him this far but sometimes you might need someone else to teach you a few new tricks. Give him another perspective.
Not disputing that...I was referring to how hard Joe came back. Can Kelly do anything remotely like that?
Some where in between, IMO. Pavlik will never accomplish what Louis did but if he is not mentally weak he will bounce back better than Lacy. Lacy took more of a beating than Pavlik so Kelly shouldn't be as ****ed mentally plus he is a far better boxer in terms of technique than Lacy so he can learn and adapt unlike Lacy. Also Lacy got beat at his natural weight. Kelly got beat at a weight he is not used to so that will help him mentally. Even if the fight was at 160 i think Hopkins still wins but the extra weight did impede Kelly. Its the same with Hatton. He really isn't to bothered by his performance in the Collazo fight. He just puts it down to him not being a natural 147 pounder.
stop using the excuse f the weight if you aw the weigh in you would see that pavlik weighed in a pound heavier then hopkins so he couldnt have been out muscled
