Both Brook and Hearn really need to get his career by the scruff of the neck this year and make some major waves.

In my opinion and many others, he can definitely be a player at world level.. but these meaningful fights need to be made now.

Brook is a second tier fighter in the WW division, i honesty think his only hope of winning a belt is at 154, 147 Mayweather, Pacquiao, Bradley, Thurman, Porter, Maidana all beat his ass imo, even Alexander, Malignaggi, Broner can beat him. I never rated Brook he went life and death with let's face it contender level Jones, Senchenko please when thats your best win after 30 fights you know a guy is hiding something, in such a stacked division you have to ask yourself 30 fights with big Sky backing and yet not one real quality win, sounds to me like neither Eddie or Kell really belive he is anything like his name "special"

**** poor list of wins at this stage. Senchecnko was loosing to a shot to **** Hatton. Really needs a name be it Paulie. Maidana or who ever someone who on paper can beat him. I actually thibj he has a good chance v Khan but needs to earn that fight. Ffs sake even if he fought present tab Judah that would be something

at this stage even pauli malanaggi is a step up... that would be the toughest opposition he has faced... says something about the tomato cans on his resume

Malignaggi is very disrespected because he doesnt have a big punch, he's a very good fast/tough boxer, Brook would more likely get beat by Malignaggi...I reckon he beat Broner.

He is very much second tier based on what i've seen of him and thats a lot, Would any of the top WW struggle with Carson Jones? would they get rocked by Senchenko? Brook has never looked elite to me he may prove me wrong but based on what i've seen plenty beat him at WW.

    Agree with this.

From what i've seen off him, he's a second tier Welterweight who has been matched very carefully to give the impression of him looking like a future star to casuals but to any boxing fan who knows their stuff they can see through the bs match-making.

Kell has been a Pro for 10 years and still hasn't faced a Top 10 Welterweight yet, it's gone beyond a joke now and when he finally does step up and faces a champion he'll be found out as being a decent above average fighter with power but not Top 5 Elite level.

Having said that i'd like to see Kell face Pablo Cano in March, that would be a great test for him and one that would tell us if Kell is ready for a world title shot.

Seems like we'll never find out if this is true. Totally frustrating career.

At another weight class Brook would be a serious player, but there are a few fighters who are as good as Kell who have been shown up.

The majority of his cards are boring mismatches. Then the odd time he throws someone into the lions den and they lose easy. I had high hopes for Hearn jnr as a promoter too, but he's just the same if not worse. One of the only positives has been getting Kessler and Bute over for Froch. He gets away with a lot more because he's accessible to fans on twitter etc.

It's now five years since he was blitzing his way through the British title contenders. He should have been fighting for a world title by early 2011 at the latest. I've never known a career like it.
