Floyd would defo struggle against williams, as would every other welterweight. Infighting has to be the only way to beat him, which im sure cotto/de la hoya could do - hatton possibly but williams is to be big for him i reckon. They would take a lot of punishment on the way in but could pull it off - he has a good jab + jab/cross combo with fast hands and seems to have decent stamina so whoever he fought it would make for a very interesting fight! I look forward to seein who he fights next!

I'll take Mosley or Cotto against him.

I think Williams is unbeatable right now at 147. Hes got an amazing work work rate one the reasons is because his punches are so effortless. I think Williams has what it takes to beat Mayweather, the speed, work rate , reach, a decent footwork and ofcourse the hunger.

I think Cotto would have the best chance because he hits so hard and that lanky frame of Williams must have it's disadvantages in terms of body resistance, luckily for the rest i doubt he will stick at that weight as taller fighters tend to have to move up.

floyd surely would be favoured, but hed have a nightmarish struggle with him, due to williams size.

cotto would surely have a shot with his vicious bodypunches.......and he is a more precise hitter than margo.

cintron would make it interesting with his punch and size..........could be the most fun fight. but i pick williams by ko in eight.

    mosley....forget it. too old.

    hatton.........no way in hell.

Mosley has a problem with fighters that have a good reach (Forrest, Wright) so I wouldn't pick him. I'd say Mayweather and Cotto though.

I still like Margarito to beat him, but only if he matches Williams punch for punch. He can't play defense for 6 rounds like he did last night.

I would pick Williams to beat Cotto. I just don't see a smaller guy like Cotto who has to plant his feet to throw really hurting even catching Williams.

I'd make Cintron a heavy favorite as I think his technique is much better than Margarito and his power his crushing. It'd be interesting though.

I'd make Shane a heavy underdog against Williams because Shane is 35 and his legs will betray him soon. He'd have to lunge alot and rely on diminishing speed to even hit Williams. A real daunting task that there.

Mayweather would have the speed to give Paul a go but Paul isn't stupid. He knows he can't box with Mayweather so yea. Paul would be a favorite there too imo.

i dont think anyone could honestly beat him imo

floyd.........couldnt counter punch and pot shot him
    marg.........already know
cotto........he wouldnt be able to get inside all that easy and if he did williams would hold for the 1st 8 rounds
shane.......never done good against the bigger guys(vernon forrest type)

i just dont think anyone could beat him

I think Cotto would break his ribs and Floyd would find a way to win. Floyd's got too much talent, and Cotto's too relentless. Williams doesn't have the power to keep Cotto off him, and a Miguel Cotto body attack would wreak havoc on that huge midsection. Margarito was stunning him with shots to the body, and Margarito wasn't attacking it half as hard as Cotto would. As for Floyd...the guy's just got too much talent. I don't care how tall Williams is or how many punches he throws. None of that matters when the guy you're fighting is a defensive master who is all but impossible to hit cleanly.

I honestly think Cintron knocks him out. It would be a great fight, but Kermit brings too much firepower to the dance and is probably the worst style matchup for PW.

    Cintron by mid-round KO.

Pretty Boy Floyd doesn't lose to Paul Williams. Floyd has ALWAYS found a way to win.
