So who at Welterweight could beat Williams?

I think Cotto could beat him. After watching the fight with Margarito, it was pretty clear to me that although Williams does have incredible stamina and workrate, he doesnt have enough punching power for his size.

I feel Williams with his size and stamina should be able to knockout a majority of fighters at 147, against margarito, he threw alot of jabs and outworked him but most of those jabs were blocked and just kept A. Margarito at a distance and didnt let him get inside rather than actually hurting him.

I think that if he let Cotto hang around for 12 rounds like he did Margarito, it would only be a matter of time before Williams hit the deck and got docked with his first tally in the Loss column.

It would be interesting to see him against PBF, floyd runs like crazy and throws underaverage amount of punches for 147. Against a polar opposite like Williams, I honestly cant say what would happen. Either Williams would be utterly confused and caught off guard by floyd, or Williams would swarm Floyd and work him for a 12 round decision. I am not audacious to make a serious guess. I hate PBF because of the way he has compared himself to guys like Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammad Ali, guys that have been in the ring more rounds than he has sparred, and have done more for boxing than he ever will. But I cant say that he would be a walk in the park for Williams.

i think williams is far too busy of a fighter for cintron. floyd mayweather would just make paul williams look like a fool in the ring though.
