I've said in other threads that this was probably the most impressive performance I've seen from a comebacking fighter in 30 years of following the sport. Older fighters coming off long layoffs don't usually win - let alone win in such impressive fashion - against vastly younger fighters in the prime of their careers. I may have been wrong in predicting the typical scenario, but it was worth it to see a rare achievement like this.
Ill admit I gave Peter a decent shot because Vitali was out for so long. I probably didnt expect Vitali to be so dominant but thats how I would have thought it would of went down if they fought when Vitali was champ.
u do what u r trained to do...he needs new trainers,,,he needs to start fresh...and i had peter to win due to ring rust I was wrong but I am not a hater...i actually love wlad and had alot of cash on him against peter
u have been following boxing for 30 years and u thought the angulo fight should have went the distanceatsch that is sad
I thought so and I thought it would be with the layoff and injurys. Thing is I dont even believe Vitali was ever injured.
I feel so vindicated, just as all Vitali fans do, I was said an endless number of times Peter was going to get brutalized, and to see it happen was the greatest feeling in the world. I havent enjoyed a fight more this year than that one
Could sworn I remember a lot of guys saying Peter was going to beat Vit's ass :huh Must've been my imagination.
I admit I picked Peter based on Vitali's inactivity and injuries. Unforgettable performance from Vitali after the long lay-off and as a fan of his I'm very happy as I'm sad for Peter losing the way he did. Still a fan of both of course and looking forward to what they plan to bring next.
I already knew he was gonna lose. It was a matter of time before he met someone with a solid 1,2 that has power.
I thought Peter was gonna win just on the old age and layoff, lucky I was wrong, rooting for Vitali.Good job Vitali.''If he dies,he dies''
