roy was prime in the vinny pazienza fight for me, some will say richard hall. lets say from super middleweight till light heavyweight, who can beat him there? prime This content is protected at super middlweight (the one who destroyed lacy) would have a small chance. This content is protected from the dawson fight was so damn well rounded technicly and his punches so crisp and sharp. at light heavyweight, well maybe a young olympian muhammad ali, so a 16-17 year old This content is protected weighed about like a light heavyweight. This content is protected beat roy in the amateurs, would have had a chance at super middleweight. those in green are the ones, who would hae the best chance of beaten a prime roy, but ultiamtly, if I had to pick one, lets say I have to put 1 million $ on somebody, from sm too lh, than my money would go each and every time to prime roy over the other boxers.
steward also said prince hamed was the best featherweight ever, before the barrera fight, dont believe everything :yep
roy was prime at super middleweight and 0 middlweight would stand a chance vs a bigger and natural faster roy jones.
I heard Manny once say that Hearn's would have caused him a huge amount of trouble. But at what weight though? Hearns was way past his absolute peak at 168, where Roy was at his best. When Roy was young at 160, things may have been different. But take the SRL rematch version of Tommy, or the 175 version, and there's no way he'd have beaten Roy in my opinion. Mike McCallum was a genius, but his best weight was 154. If they were both in their peak, Roy would have a huge weight advantage.
yeah, I mean he beat toney, who was regarded as the king of boxing, so james was a school boy. not a lot of boxers can beat a in shape toney, the way roy did at super middleweight.
