Jones beats Robinson and Hagler at MW. It is what it is.

Calzaghe and Ward in recent years would have a chance.

Well, I'm talking about a MW Roy.

SMW Roy isn't really worth discussing. Nobody should ever be favored over him, which is what the thread is asking. And if somebody felt there was someone he would be ridiculed beyond belief. Ward and Calzaghe have the tiniest of chances.

Calzaghe is the only man that could stand infront of him and whoop him over 12 rounds, especially prime, prime Ko's Jones despite what Rojo's claim.

Benn's lateral movement and power would devour him in 3-4 rounds.

Eubank would go to war and probably shatter the glass as noway is Jones ko'ing Eubank, Eubank would alter his game and just stalk him like he did Benn in their first fight.

McClennan would also brutalise him badly.

Rojo's hate to admit that he was matched carefully against plodders, upright stiffs, sanitation workers and guys who had no speed to compliment him and make him look amazing, much like Mayweather.

I'd expect him to lose far more often than win up against Spinks.

    Charles. Foster.

Nobody at or below 168 beats a prime Roy nine out of 10 times. For one, the 168 pound class is very new and absolutely devoid of legitimate challenges. Secondly, he holds big physical advantages over anybody much lower.

175 pound Spinks and Charles stand a good shot. As much as I love Hagler and some other middleweights, the best I can see any of them taking is 2-4 out of 10.

Considering shot Joe ballooned up and traveled to prime Hopkins own back yard and whooped him for 9 rounds, stupid question. Then killed Roy Jones himself.

Everyone knows prime Calzaghe was the most avoided fighter around, people acted like he was Pac and they were Mayweather in those days:lol::lol: Silly Rojo's.:patsch

"I'm not looking for tough fights" -- 27 year old Joe Calzaghe. He wasn't avoided. He admitted he would rather stay at home and make money.

    :hi:

Rojo's owned, journey man Johnson utterly pulverised him, let's not forget Roy Jones stayed at home to fight sanitation workers and still got put to sleep by B-C level fighters, Calzaghe was looking to fight Eubank, Collins, Hopkins who ducked him blatantly etc etc.

As I said, people acted like he was Pac and they were mayweather, nothing was tempting them to get a beat down.:deal:smooch

Roy was an asshat. I cheered when Tarver dropped him.

Still doesn't change the fact that Joe's own words prove he was a ducker.

"I know my limitations" -- prime Joe Cal.
"It would take the crown jewels" -- prime No Show Joe
