Not who you want him to fight but who he should fight for the good of the sport. Cotto IMO isnt shot. He is only 29 years old has a lot of his skills still avialable to him. Sped and accuraCY WAS THERE AS WELL. Lots of possible opponents.

    Poll coming

Move back down to 147 and brutalize Andre Berto which gets him into position for another big fight against an elite welterweight.

That, or face P. Willy at 154.

His retirement party, he looked faded and ready for the taking. If he's going to fight on he should fight easy fights

My opinion is that Cotto should take a pass fight with a guy like cory spinks who he should be favored over and then after 2 belts look at either Pwill, or PBF

That's funny because I think Berto would be the best man for him to target next.

I ended up picking Spinks. I hear he's in pretty rough shape. And he's not a hitter.

Margo and Berto. Beating Margo would do wonders for his confidence as a fighter. Yes, it's wrong in principle to give the cheater another big payday, but Miguel has so much to gain from this fight. The money would come in as each of their ethnic groups would want to support their man, and everyone else just wants to see Cotto get his vengeance.

If he beats those two in an impressive manner then a rematch with pac or a fight with Williams would make sense. The latter two are tough opponents; Cotto needs moar time under Steward to develop the tricks of the trade.

Cotto is damaged and in rehabilitation right now. You can't expect him to start walking right away.

You should have.. Berto was a main opponent brought up again and again in the lead up to the Foreman fight... and it makes perfect sense. Cotto moves back down to his peak weight, beats the **** out of a flawed but name fighter, and with the win he positions himself fo another big pay day possiblly against Mayweather if terms between PBF and Pac can't be met.

Maybe should take an easy one next. He shouldnt have to fight margo and probably wont. Martinez, Williams or Pac could be good fights. But at 154 no catchweight for Pac

surprised that people wanna see the margo thing again. These are the types of fighters who will always cause trouble for Cotto.
