Toney had weight issues. Floyd was just moving for the comp. I don't consider Toney at his best at 160 because of his weight issues and the fact that he fit a weight like 168 better. Floyd showed his best skills at 130, and I don't think it's really even close. He had his best performance there as well, against one of two fighters that were considered top 10 P4P that he's faced(the other being Hatton in a much less impressive performance). I have yet to see a performance at higher weights of the caliber he showed often at 130.

You could make a case that he's the best 130 pounder of all time. I don't see a case being made for him as even a top 10-15 WW of all time.

Toney's weight issues were more evident against Jones, which was contested at super-middleweight. The performance of Toney that night wasn't just all about him, but Jones' skills and ability as well. However, Toney could hardly get off with punches, and was breathing heavy after three rounds. He never showed such stamina issues at middleweight, although he was probably struggling there as well during his late days in the division. He moved up at the right time from middleweight, thus stamina issues not hindering his performances to an abstrurd degree.

Toney seemed to get fatter and fatter and less and less motivated as he moved up, which is why he eventually became a fat Heavyweight. He was fine for a time at MW, then eventually started to find it hard to make weight. Same happened with SMW, after a good start. Same with LHW, CW, etc.

I'm not sure why Toney balloned up from 217lbs, which was his weight for the Holyfield fight, right up to over 230lbs for most of his fights after. He was razor sharp against Holyfield, and I always felt he'd win that fight. Toney going up against heavyweights and winning was all about his skills, not about weight and trying to match them for size. He was never going to be a full blown natural heavyweight. Squeezing 230lbs into a 5' 10" frame doesn't add up at all. Someone like Tyson could carry 220lbs into a frame just under 6' 0" because he was built as a natural heavyweight. Toney was carrying too much fat, and was not disclplined enough to keep his weight at the right level as a heavyweight.

I base my lists on who "I saw" not records or old fight films. And yes I did see Sanchez vs Lopez and Gomez but I also based mine on the length of their careers. What might have been had Salvadors life not ended so soon is the start of a whole other thread, and probably done 10x. But I saw enough of Pedrosa to know that he deserves his position on my list. (or he might elbow and headbutt me while throwing one low)

You did well. At middle robinson again? Bro just so you's knows artie levine clocked robinson for 21 seconds yet ray still won. Monzon no doubt. If jones stayed at middle? Not a DLH fan Yet Floyd barely beat em at 154, peak 4 peak DLH beats floyd. Strange how louis is my fav heavy slso yet foreman whips em. Nite I'm a sleeply.

I think Sanchez' best performance was against Gomez, he looked real good against an opponent who is usually ranked above Nelson. In terms of best fights in their division they were number 1, then Duran-DeJesus III is probably the best choice.

I was thinking of putting that in as Duran's best performance , but i didnt mean it had to be at the weight where i have them at number 1 , Leonard is one of the very best ever , so i just had to say Duran-Leonard 1 as his best one. The reason i put the Nelson win above the Gomez one was because of Gomez being smaller , you have a point though
