So WHO gets to fight Luke Campbell for the WBC vacant belt? Haney? Teofimo?

If the WBC is up to their old tricks it will be Lopez.
If they're on the level for once it's either Luke vs Zaur or Loma.

 

Help me out guys, why wouldn't Loma be the 1st option to fight for that belt? Is it the WBC rankings or something else?

LOL. Well he mentioned fighting Luke in the UK before the title was even vacated and he obviously wants to unify 135. Seems like that would be the fight to make unless there's other things that go into fighting for a vacant title.

 

Id predict Campbell gets a UK fight against Abdullaev for the vacant, then 1st defence in the US against Haney. Hearn'll give Campbell his best chance to win a world title.

 

Who is Zaur? Loma deserves the show over Teo, but if Loma isn't getting the shot I'd rather have Teo over some guy I never heard of.

 

I meant Zaur Abdullaev, but it's actually Andreev (the other undefeated Russian) that's rated #2 behind Campbell.
If the WBC actually gives it to the Mexican American again they seem to do what they always do, and that's favoring nationality over their actual rankings.

 

Just an FYI....Lopez is a Honduran American, rather than a Mexican American. I bet WBC still goes with him though.

 

Give Teo the fight. IF he can beat Campbell (I highly doubt it) then he gets the belt that gives him the fight against Loma, and it gives him the best fights possible before he moves up in weight next year. This is his big chance to get a belt at 135. Step up kid, you’ve talked the talk now let’s see what you’ve got. Make it happen Bob
