    I see this as a 50/50 fight.

If lesser fighters can spring out suprises . . . what made you think RJJ can't. :D

This is ****ing laughable. RJJ was the greatest fighter of our era, in his prime he wouldn't lose a round v Calzaghe, but we are talking about a guy who got sparked by Tarver and Johnson- and has had years to deteriorate since then. He couldn't even stop a blown-up welterweight who hadn't won a fight in years. Like him or loathe him, Calzaghe has coped with age much better, and is currently #2 P4P in the world. This fight should never be made, it is a joke, and I fear greatly for RJJ. It will end with him unconscious on his back again and everyone involved should be ashamed. Calzaghe's legacy will forever be tainted for ducking a real live challenge in Kelly Pavlik and trying to cash in by beating up a faded legend.

Roy's legs are gone at this point he can't deal with Calzaghe's workrate. Being Calzaghe is no youngster either than I suppose anything is possible. But I doubt it, Calzaghe by UD.

Calzaghe easy ud. Jones tries to counter off the ropes to much. That will give calzaghe the opertunity to launch tons of combos. Even though Joe has no knockout power i would not be surprised if he stops Roy.

I really hope Jones wins, it would cement his legacy as one of the best of all time (top 15 ATG in my books). Unfortunately I just don't see it happening, Roy doesn't have the stamina or legs anymore to keep up with even a faded Calzaghe.

I hope he proves me wrong.

Depends on Joe this fight i mean RJ is one of my favorites and i wont count him out which is why i say if Cal goes into the fight with no respect of Roy then he is looking for trouble as he did in Hop fight.....Cal didnt respect Hop hence the KD in the first....With Roy still having decent speed and KO power....a mistake on Cal's part could be drastic so it depends on Cal he fights like he did with Kessler easy UD...like he did with Hop and he stands a big chance of losing or winning and it being a bad performance then he's got critics on his back again.

I'll root for Roy, but if i were laying off a bet it would go on Slappy Joe.

Best case scenario: Roy pulls off the upset; Pavlik starches Roy. All controversy ends.

I think Roy is more than capable of beating Calslappy. While Joe throws flurries that are considered fast, Jones has real hand speed with real power, Calslappy isn't really that quick. Joe isn't gonna hurt Roy cause he has nowhere near the punching power that Tarver has, but Roy can hurt Joe. If Joe got caught and dropped from a right hand by Hopkins then he's definatly NOT gonna see Jones coming. I honestly don't see a single area where Joe can beat Roy. They say Joe's work rate is gonna be to much for Jones but Roy's speed, power, and acurate shots are gonna get to Joe. Jones is gonna be able to pick Joe off in spots where Hopkins couldn't.

Just like the hopkins fight, JC's workrate will be the difference & roys lack of. I don't see JC KOing roy but I never thought tarver or Johnson would either. A former great fighter V a current great fighter, you don't go 45-0 without knowing how to handle most situations in a fight.
