I am pretty excited about this fight. Skilled veteran Vs. promising up and comer.

I was pretty skeptical about Rashad Evans when he first got in to the UFC. I don't know why I think it may of been because he was a TUF fighter or something. I am a TUF fan by the way.

So we all know Chuck legacy, and stylistically this is Chucks tyoe of opponent, what with his take down defense and superior striking. I remeber when Rashad was climbing the ladder my friends were saying Rashad was going to be the one to beat Chuck (this was when chuck was the champ about 2 years ago).

I am a big Chuck fan so I quickly brushed those opinions off. I gotta say though, since Rashad has started he has proven to be a tough opponent and might have a masterful game plan coming into this fight.

Here is my thought on the upcoming fight though, I think Chuck takes it by TKO 3rd round, reason being is Rashad really dragged out that fight with Tito and seem to like to lay and pray. It will take Chuck 3 rounds because Rashad and probably drag on through the fight without getting big time cornered until he tires out.

Evans will have a solid Career though.....

Jardine was able to drop him like 3 times in his fight vs Evans. He was landing at will with his right hand. I think that Liddell will KO him somewhere in the second.

I cant see how Evans wins this. The only guys who took Liddell down more then once and kept him down where named Couture and Rampage I dont consider Evans on that level and he doesnt have the striking to A outstrike Liddell or B get inside on Liddells long range striking. Evans is just so passive on his feet and is still really a one trick poney he mainly goes for the takedowns which we all know ask Babalu or Tito that gets you knowhere vs Chuck Liddell. Liddell by stoppage similar to the Jeremey Horn one or Ortiz rematch where he drops Evans a couple times and Evans quits or just goes down agian and gets pounded on while just covering up. If Liddell cant win it then its time to hang it up but I think he showed vs Wanderlei he can still go.

Liddell. His takedown defense is good enough to keep the fight standing for decent stretches of times, which means Rashad is going to eat some huge right hands.

Depending on how much Chuck really has left it should be his kind of fight. I'm gonna go with Chuck late or Ud.

Well ill go with how he looked vs Wanderlei and he still showed hes a great fighter more of a MMA guy agian since he actually used takedowns first time in god knows how long.

Rashad wins by K/O kick to the head or punches to the face....

    Or by GnP decision.....

    You crazy.

Rashad Evans can do what Randy Couture can't?

Depending on the odds I'll be placing a sizeable wager on Chuck. Chuck specialises in knocking out grapplers- better grapplers than Evans. Take it to the bank folks :deal

For me this fight is about finding out which one of the two has what it takes to challenge for the title. Is Rashard a legit contender? And does Chuck still have what it takes?
For the record, Id go for a Liddel KO, unless Rashad can employ some sort of 'spoiling' tactics to get a decision.
