Would be a slightly disappointing outcome when bigger names and more meaningful titles have been bandied about AGAIN.

Would also be interesting to see if Mundine can make weight, and then how he performs at 154.

If this whisper is correct the boxer in question will be

Nobuhiro Ishida 34 yr old orth. 22-5-2
Sturm, Pavlik, Golovkin & N'Jikam will just have to cool their heels.

Wait and see the nuthuggers coming out with the likes of 'good opponent considering it's Mundine's first fight at 154' etc...

ash, I tend not to believe anything I hear on here until I see it on Boxrec, and even then only half of that.

You've been on here touting Pavlik, Sturm, etc as his next possible opponent, but basically admitted a couple of weeks ago that you about as much as anyone else on here about it.

No offence, but you know SFA, so don't start playing the 'I told you so' game :yep

BTW, if this is who he's fighting next he should be ****ing ashamed of himself, as should you being a supporter of his. He's been beaten twice by Crazy Kim and also lost to Nader Hamdan

Interesting to note that Kim wobbled Mundine at SMW yet Ishida managed to go teh distance with him on 2 occasions

Further interesting to note that Crazy Kim was yet another career JMW that Mundine fought at SMW - funny how Flash doesn't hark on about the injustice of that :yep

If this report is true (which Ive yet to see hard evidence of) then I wont even bother looking up the score or downloading this fight. His fights are on par with the occasional 3rd tier fights that Kegsy occasionally adds to the tip comp :)yep :yep forgive me kegs) that I usually have 0 interest in.

Firstly...its not hard to pull up several quotes I made talking about choc fighting for the 154 interim title :tong

Secondly....the hes fighting has not lost in is last 12 fights and 6 years :deal

Thirdly.....This is the best fight for choc at 154 :deal

Last of all.....If he wins he has the number 1 spot for the 154 WBA title :deal

So Mundine's huge, world domination 2010 is shaping something like this:

    January - Rob Medley.

    June - Nobuhiro Ishida.

    September - ?

    December - Garth Wood.

Clearly September-ish is last chance cafe for anything meaningful!

    ...suppose there's alway next year?

From Pavlik , Sturm & Martinez to even a level below to the likes of Golovkin etc would have been ok at a push but to a guy Twice beaten by Crazy Kim ? His few remaining fans must be spewing ,what a joke . Man I'm gutted for you Ash . :-(
