Is there any boxer from the flyweight division who has been successful pass 126? Who is the first boxer who has won 4(5) lineal titles in 6(5) different weight divisions? Manny Pacquiao.

In terms of accomplishments Pacquiao and Dela Hoya are about even. I'll rank Manny higher than Dela Hoya. You can rank Hoya higher than Pacquiao. It doesn't matter to me.

Dude, Answer me this. I have DLH somewhere between 40-50, yet you and your fellow *******s have Pac in your top 20 and some of you as far as #1 ATG.

I showed you why I feel Oscar. whom I have in the Top 50 should not be ranked lower than Pac, and YOU and yours come in here enraged, emotional, and slinging insults all over the place because of MHO.

Now what gayboy fancies what fighter again????? ;)

Pacquiao is simply a better fighter. Oscar always struggled against decent southpaws and elite boxers.

Quartey arguably beat Oscar, and please tell me who exactly is Quartey's best win?

Mosley beat him the first time, when Oscar was at his prime weight and Mosley had recently moved up. Give Oscar credit though he did well in the rematch at 154.

Tito is a great fighter but he has some serious liabilities and give credit to Oscar he was able to exploit them but he also showed that he's not a closer when the fight was there for the taking. Chavez was a smaller fighter and had slowed down considerably by the time Oscar fought him. Chavez is 11 years older than Oscar. Plus he was a come forward guy who is there to be hit, the kind of fighters Oscar likes to fight.

Whitaker was shot and had just had 2 back-to-back underwhelming performances against Wilfredo Rivera, a guy who wouldn't be fit to spar with a prime Whitaker. The signs were there to indicate that Whitaker was ripe for the taking. Btw Whitaker is 9 years older than Oscar.

The Sturm and Pacquiao losses are embarassing but we can say he was far from his best and give him a pass. Although Sturm ****ing sucks and that was right after Oscar arguably beat Mosley, and only 1 division up from that fight.

Hopkins and PBF are not embarassing losses and Oscar was not at his best either so we can give him a pass here too. Against PBF he did well but he did make a guy who was just getting adjuste to WW Floyd move up to JrWW. Against Hopkins I believe he was knocked out by a punch that most greats would have found the resolve to get up from, but thats debateable.

Vargas and Mayorga are warriors and though Vargas has some solid fundamentals they are not really that skilled. And Vargas gave Oscar hell in that fight.

Pacquiao has fought elite, ATG fighters, and performed incredibly.

Barrera was coming off the best win streak of his career and Pacquiao ripped him a new *******. The 2nd time Barrera was coming off a close, relatively controversial loss to a p4p elite in Marquez and Pacquiao beat him without even working up a sweat despite all pre-fight reports indicated Pacquiao was not at his best.

Morales beat Pacquiao by 2 points when Pacquiao moved up from 126 to 130 and suffered a gash over his eye in the first half of the fight. When they fought the rematches PAcquiao knocked him out. He may have been slightly shot and coming off a loss but he was the bigger man and he had never been knocked out. Pac knocked him out twice and took Larios to school in between. And Morales has never been knocked out by anyone else.. The first time, he wasn't even 30. In fact he was younger than PAcquiao is today.

JMM is a 3 weight champion and one of the greatest mexican boxers of all time. A truly elite fighter who has been in the p4p lists for a long time and is p4p#2 today. The first time Pacquiao moved up in weight and fought a prime, bigger JMM and knocked him down 3 times in the first round but JMM managed to salvage a controversial draw. The second time JMM was older but seemed better than ever as he had a 14 week training camp and Pacquiao managed to beat him albeit controversially. JMM went on to dominate at LW and is now fighting PBF at WW.

Against JMM, Diaz, Hatton, and Oscar Pac fought 4 fights in 4 different divisions winning 3 of those by absolute and complete domination and 2 lineal titles.

All that is without regarding his accomplishments at 112 where he defeated Sasakul to win the lineal title and 122 where he was destroying everyone. Now Pac is fighting Miguel Cotto at 145 when in his last fight just a few months ago PAcquiao tipped the scales at only 138. The worst part is Pacquiao is the favorite, thats how good he is.

Oscar is an amazing fighter but I even consider that Mosley is a better fighter than Oscar. Mosley lost to guys who would have beat Oscar even worse and he is also a naturally smaller fighter. And he has had more longevity.

I wonder what kind of career Shane would have put together if he'd moved down to 140 after the Oscar fight. I think that win convinced him he could hang with elite, bigger fighters, and it ended up derailing his career hugely.

I've got to ask you though, why all the disdain for Quartey and Vargas? I agree that their careers were shortened by inactivity/ injuries, but they were very, very special fighters in their primes. Yes Vince Phillips is Ike's "best" win, but he didn't just beat him, he beat him like a red headed step child. Vince Phillips probably stoppped Tszyu in more impressive fashion than Hatton, given Tszyu's age in both fights and the relatively neutral site, but you're writing him, Ike, and Vargas off as merely "good" fighters and calling Hatton an ATG? I don't get it.

After reading all these posts I ended up with some possible conlusions....

1- Pac (as an ATG) has been overrated.

2- DLH (as an ATG) has been underrated.

    3- All of the above.

I have seen posters rating Pac as high as TOP 20 and as low as TOP 50, and there are others who have rated Hoya as high as TOP 50 and as low as TOP 70/80.

The question is where do you guys rate them as ATGs????

Isal, you have presented your case very well.... I have never really analyzed Hoya's resume that deep as you have done it .... maybe it has do with the fact that he was never one of my favourites.
