According to boxrec, two of the three matches are already scheduled: Froch-Dirrell on Oct. 10 for the WBC title Abraham-Taylor on Oct. 10 How about Kessler-Ward? I have heard the WBC has suspended mandatory obligations for the duration of the tourney for its SMW champ? How about the WBA? Could they sink the hopes of a unified WBA WBC titlist, which is the tourney's objective?
The Europeans with knowledge of the situation are reporting that Kessler will fight the mandatory before starting the tournament. There's another thread about this from earlier this afternoon. The biggest concern is that he'll get cut or injured; most think an upset is out of the question.
