Let me explain something to you. The Cuban amateurs are not the American or European amateurs, the Cuban amateurs are " the best in the World ". Cuba has the best boxing school in the World ( proven with Gold medal results in both Olympics and World Championships ), the Cubans have the best training in World and the Cubans have the strongest amateur competitions in the World ( proven fact )...

Whenever you speak of a " Cuban amateur boxer " you are talking about the best amateurs on the planet. Let me give you an example. The same was said about Cuba's Baseball Team for decades " they are amateurs " and everyone tought that they were " the minor leagues " just as you said about Cuban boxers. What happened when Cuba entered the very first World Baseball Classic?

Cuba not only got to the final but also defeated the " proven professionals " like Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Venezuela...Oh by the way, the Cubans had the " youngest Team in the tournament "... :scaredas:

The Cubans have demonstrated along the way that they are in a different level when it comes to being " an amateur "...

So, Peter will get " schooled " by Solis who is " miles " ahead of him in all departments including technique, skills, speed, amateur experience etc...

Please answer this question for me and I am done, " when has an African fighter defeated a Cuban fighter amateur or pro??? Please refresh my memory if it has happened because I am almost certain that it has'nt happened...

Just a reminder, looked at what Yuriorkis Gamboa did to the " so highly regarded African Rogers Mtagwa "!!!

And the funny thing is that I am not trying to bash any country specially Africa as all Cuban boxers are AFRICAN DESCENDANTS from Nigeria and the Congo !!! I have nothing against Africa, on the contrary I like my African brothers but the truth is the truth... :good

But there are simply miles of differences between a Cuban fighter and a African fighter even though that they are of the same race, why? TECHNIQUE AND SCHOOL, and Cuba has the best... :good

And don't get me wrong, I would support Samuel Peter against anybody as he is a good person and a Christian man just like myself but against Solis he has nothing going for him...

I wish him the best in his career and may God always protect him...

Then why didn't Felix Savon's amazing amateur resume transfer over into the pro's? He beat alot of top americans by knockout and former champs like Tua, Brewster, and Briggs. Maybe you could shed some light on this, you seem very informed.

sam peter should stick to training hard and maintaining his newly acquired self in tip-top form. He has only a punchers chance against either KLIT. I think he should fight Arreola if chris gets by Adamak.

Yanqui Diaz is Cuban right? Didn't Peter smack the **** outta Yanqui Diaz? And Diaz isn't total garbage because he does hold a shocking 1st round KO of Juan Carlos Gomez right?

True, but Yanqui Diaz was an absolute " no body " in Cuba. He " somehow " managed to surprise Gomez that night with a hard straight hand ( which he has very good KO power ) and Gomez got stunned by the punch and the ref stopped the fight...

You need to understand that when that happened Gomez " as always " was fooling around between Miami, LA and Germany with no contract, running away from his German promoter, having a crazy lifestyle as he showed up for that fight super out of shape and even flabby...

Yanqui Diaz did managed to ruin Gomez's " perfect pro record of 41-0 and did a lot of damage to his whole career. Diaz was a decent HV back in Cuba and was the same over here...Nothing else.

That could be interesting. Gomez is a crafty bugger but Sam's got his puncher's chance.
