Correct. Majidov and Mahmudov would ruin Yoka. Usyk and Joyce are contenders, not prospects.

Usyk- Blue chip. He's going to get a shot at the WBO belt, either against Parker or Joyce, and will beat either. He will be a titlist.

Gassiev- "A" level talent at heavy, but a "C" prospect because injuries may be a problem, and because lawsuits and continued promotional problems will derail him. I love the guy's style and ability, but I have the feeling that he will not be relevant until he is 35.

Hrgovic- "B-." Not getting big fights and not giving impressive performances against the better ones that he has had. But he plugs along, has his fans, and occasionally wipes out a no-hoper.

Joyce- "B+." Great win, and he might get the shot at the WBO belt, but I think this is as far as he goes. Too old and slow.

Vykhryst- "D." Could get better, but he's unheralded and was not that impressive the other night.

Majidov- "C-." Great, highly anticipated talent, but he's 34 and fighting no-hopers. Ten years too late. Would have been a hell of an addition to the Kltischko era

Makhmudov- "B-" A lot of buzz about this guy, and he seems to be fighting often against somewhat notable guys, but he is no spring chicken himself, and again, is going to have promotional problems. EVERYONE wants to see this guy, but what is going to happen when he does get someone he can't whack out of there? Does he have the stamina? Can he make adjustments?

Dychko- "C-." Career is further along than, say, Majidov, and he is relatively young for this crew at 30 or so. Talent is impeccable with two bronze medals. But his career has stopped cold.

Jalolov- He's going back to the amateurs, last I heard.

Sirenko- "D." Can't get a good fight. Looks like he has talent, but was one of the less illustrious amateurs. I have a feeling he would be very good, but the fights aren't coming his way, and that isn't going to change.

An outstanding crop ruined because you have to have promotional backing, and these guys largely don't have it.

Why he needs big fights so early? He should rack up record until with him enough money might be earned.

His advantage is that he is young, only 27 for HW is only 27.

If he will beat then HW division is even weaker than it looks from side.
He already had problems with Whiterspoon and Chisora. Don't see that he today is capable to beat even Dorticos at CW.
Bearing in mind how slow Chisora is and Whiterspoon was old not highly ranked short notice replacement.

He has no problems with them. I carefully delineated that he through less than 2/3 of his normal volume of punches. He treated those fights as sparring sessions.

Both Usyk and Joyce are no longer prospects in my opinion, they've both proven themselves to have moved on a proved they are contenders. Usyk beating a proven gate keeper in Chisora and Joyce beating Jennings along with Dubois elevate them both above all the other prospects.

Same with Hunter, he's legit contender level too now with the controversial draw vs Povetkin, the wins over Kuzmin, Ustinov and Bakole.

Hrgovic is the top true prospect for me, he's simply a step behind Usyk and Joyce and yet to step up to the level of opposition they have. Next year will be the year he needs to step up and prove he's more than just a prospect.

Yoka is the 2nd best prospect, he looked awful vs Hammer, but he's having these tough fights early and hopefully learning from them and won't make the mistakes Dubois did and not had the type of testing fights as a novice that prepare you for when you step up.

Dubois, despite the loss to Joyce he was competitive, I had it all even after 6 rounds but then he faded as the eye became an issue. He actually did better than I thought he would vs Joyce so I don't think he's done yet and is young enough to learn from this and improve. But he needs to be brought along properly not just fed stiffs and thrown in the deep end again.

Jermaine Franklin, he might be too small at only 6'2" but his skills are obvious to those who know what they are looking at. If he's brought along right he could turn into another decent contender like Hunter.

Nobody else really stands out for me. Ajagba is a KO waiting to happen, Bakole has looked decent coming back from the Hunter loss but I'm not convinced yet, Dychko hasn't looked good to me so far as a pro, Makhmudov looks raw despite being 31 and his opposition has been really poor, Petar Milas has looked OK but he's only 25, he's far from the finished article.

Joyce is too old to be a prospect, but with his engine he could be around another 2 or 3 years.

Usyk isnt a spring chicken either.

I would say hrgovic and yoka.

Im not writing off dubois yet either.

If so, why I should watch Usyk? He looks that needs retirement, it is not so fast like in WBSS. Boring.

Hunter's fans think that it was controversial because he didn't won.
Povetkin's fans might think otherwise of course.

No one cares if you do or you don't. The path is now laid down for him to be a heavyweight titlist. If Joyce takes over the #2 spot, and the vacant title is between them, Usyk will, 100% guaranteed, be a champ. It doesn't matter if you watch or not.

So go watch a bar fight. I like boxing, and Usyk is a master.

    A few things.

    1) He appears to be regressing, not improving.
    2) The promotional problems are not going away.
    3) He's running his mouth about how he is ready for anyone.

Again, the issue isn't his age, it is his promotional problems. He is being sued by his former promoter, and that could derail his career for a long time.

I hope I am wrong, because I think if he is healthy and gets the fights, he could be an ATG.

I think Makhmudov would kill Joyce and Dubois . Whether he has the time to gain a title shot, I don't know.

Joe Joyce has the biggest wins on all of them.
