He is still managed by wazz, but he has annouced his intention to leave so i suspect his career will get stalled.

Apparently he's under contract until April next year, but I don't really know the full situation or even why DeGale wants to leave as hes been rather quiet on the matter

It's up for speculation, it will be related to Groves though.

I'm sure you have noticed that since Groves has got with ****** he has disposed of Paul Smith and now has a world title shot.

DeGale was on the other hand given a tough fight about the EBU champion at the time, a fighter who was always going to make him look bad and hasn't fought since.

It's either jealousy or Wazz is unwilling to put Groves in with DeGale again.

DeGale must be stupid then! He's going into a title fight this Saturday in the guy's own back yard!

Am I the only one who thinks it supremely silly not to have Wazz backing you in such a fight? if DeGale loses his career could be over!

I wouldn't be surprised if he did an Audley and tried to manage and promote himself...

Since when has Denmark become the backyard for an Italian who has never set foot here? :D

Dude...his promoter won the purse bid. He's calling the shots. This fight is going to be interesting to say the least!

Sanavia was KOed (retired) by Morade Hakkar 9 years ago.

    This Morrade Hakkar:

Yes, but it is not on his hometurf.

But yeah, you can possibly be right that got something up his sleeves. Looks like an interesting new player this Luca Ferrara (Round Zero Promotion owner)

I was pretty suprised when he came out of nowhere and won the purse bid. Also Wonder how much Sauerland then paid him to have the fight on Nordic Fight Night.

Nevertheless, DeGale should win easily anyway.

Interesting to see how the fight will be percived here. I have a hard time imagine either would be cheered (Another advantage going out the window) I imagine there be pretty quiet.

At least Patrick Nielsen and to a lesser degree Evensen will bring plenty of butts to the seat, and Patricks fight will surely be a sound hell. The other two Danes, lone norwegian and swede will get good support too.
