If anything it was Hopkins. DLH fought four times over three years losing twice. He looked good against Hopkins.

I give him about as much credit as I do for beating Hatton who isn't on the level of Mosley or Mayweather. Doesn't mean I don't think Pac is P4P the best.

    Neither.

Hatton never learned how to slip punches and DLH got old.

It did help that Hatton was balloning up inbetween fights either.

I agree with Nezy on this and this is Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s take on this as well. I think they are both great wins for both fighters but of the two Floyd had the more live Oscar. Oscar was done vs Floyd but he was still a competitive athlete. Hatton was a stylistic disaster vs Floyd and Pac both.

De La Hoya ruined himself, and Freddy Roach said why in an Interview during the Hatton 24/7 show, if you watched it.

Basically, Roach noticed that Oscar had IV marks, fresh ones, on his arm the night he went into the ring with Pac, and told Manny to jump all over him early.

DLH was re-hydrating with IV fluids pre-fight, that tells you how hard it was for him to make that weight, add on his age and activity in the ring, and there you go.

Nothing ruined Hatton. Hatton was just a come-forward fighter, and his weakness was exploited in two big fights.

If anyone, Pac, but Oscar became a businessman, was not a full time boxer, that's what ruined him.

You may say Pac put on the finishing touch on DLH's way to retirement. Otherwise, DLH would still be fighting if he won that fight with Pac.
I'll give big credit to Pac if ever Hatton decides to retire

DLH - his greed. Seriously, agreeing to a clause that made sure he couldn't put on more than a certain amount of weight after weigh-in? That's downright dangerous.

Hatton - accumulation of punches over his career.

    It wasn't about individual fighters.....
