So who should Dawson fight at 168 if he decides to move down?

He no longer has an alphabet title, and if he gets past Johnson, it's wide open for him to make interesting career moves. I'm all for Dawson moving down to 168. He can fight the likes of Bute, the Dirrell brothers, Kessler, Froch, etc.

He will be so drained and spindly he would get KO'd by a gust of wind.

yeah the guy is 6 foot 3. A move UP would make more sense, but i dont see why a guy like kessler or froch couldnt move up to light heavy.

I would rather see him stay at light heavy and fight Pascal after Johnson than go down to 168 and fight someone when he's weight drained.

Light heavyweight might get more interesting now with two new champions last weekend and a vacant belt up for grabs soon. I could see why Dawson would want to go to 168 when everyone at 175 was over 35 but if there is new talent emerging now I don't see what's wrong with him staying where he is.

I'd like to see him fight Kessler. I'd like to see Kessler fight someone with a pulse really - his career has just stagnated since the Calzaghe loss.

I seem to remember hearing that Dawson came into camp for the first Tarver fight weighing less than 185? If that's true then I doubt he would struggle moving down to 168. There's some good fights to be made there and it would be ideal if he could compete at both weights.

I would love to see him fight Kessler but we all know Kessler would duck him.

Afraid of a real challenge??? All this coming from a Kessler fan the most protected fighter in boxing.:rofl:lol::rofl Dawson's resume shits all over Kessler's fool.:deal Dawson would tee off on that robot with combos from all angles all night long beating him to the punch and landing damn near at will. He would beat the **** outta Kessler and win by wide UD. Kessler is the most overrated and mentally weak fighter on ESB. The guy has done nothing of note in years and is hyped up like the second coming of Roy Jones.

I was jut kidding Pimp C, relax. Damn you let it all come out about Kessler, I see you dont like the man very much. Yes I am a fan of Kessler and think Dawson would really out box Kessler big time winning like 10-2, 9-3.

    Kessler aint much:
    -over rated
    -protected
    -robot
    -mentally weak
    -has done nothing
    -over hyped
    :good:D

Given the wonderful marketing job Shaw's done with him, I'm not surprised nobody wanted to take the chance. Gary can't do **** with higher weight fighters because that's not his focus. The only other decent big fighter he's got is Andre Dirrell, and he's stagnating Dirrell's career now when Andre should be building momentum for a title shot.

It's a marvel Chad's gotten the opportunities he has. He'd have been better off with an outfit like Golden Boy that isn't afraid to invest in and market their potential top fighters.

I dnt kno if its a great decision to go down but i think assuming he dus get past johnson. He should test the water down smw first. If he was to go in with Froch and fade late like he has dun in the past. Maybe hed be better of staying up there.

I wanna see sum1 unify a division, or at least try.
