Roy Jones fall had nothing to do with Weight. He may have been drained for the first Tarver fight but he had been slowing down for 5 years before that. Then 2 consecutive Knockouts and Brain damage wiped out his Punch Resistance and that was that

if he wasn't that dedicated when he was on top of the world, now he's got a mountain to climb and I reckon its only money that is his motivation. I predict he was a flash in the pan, and will not amount to much when he comes back - he might get a shot at AJ, but if he really is only after the big payday then I think he'll have 1 tune up against a stiff then say he's ready - and the gullible public might buy it.

I think it was due to Fury and what he did that stopped Wladimir doing so much

your seven year old grandson obviously has the higher iq between the two of you. cunningham was old, shot, had no power. thus why fury cherry picked him. he had lost three of his previous four fights. fury still barely squeaked by. no wonder he ducked anyone with size and power. thompson, pulev, price, ustinov, wilder. forget the rest, but those would be fury's top five opponents aside from wlad. instead he blatantly ducked.

a combative person...any discipline...works for years to pull all attributes together. to the best of their ability..it takes years to get everything just right. balance, timing, all offensive techniques, all defensive techniques, movement, strategy or style that works for them..other things. each one is like a tight band....you work on them and slowly pull each band together until you have them all to a point....under your control...where you want them, and can use them together to beat your opponent. to let one of the bands go....especially weight......affects all the rest...no matter what anyone says it is just a fact. to say that Roy Jones's weight gain and loss played no role or whatever...that is just not so. For Tyson to let himself go and now attempt to come back at the same level.....after how long...just ain't going to happen.

Fury could be even better...........................hope he trains extremely hard and comes back............he will do so if he runs out of money, watching both Joshua and Vlad making huge dollars..................

He is going to disappoint the vast majority based on their expectations when he or the HW scene is discussed. People forget how little Fury was thought of before the Wladimir fight.

We haven't seen Fury back since testing positive for a PED, either.

In a fair world, he still has that big suspension to serve. Expect an awkward hearing and his getting dismissed on some technicality.

It's irrelevant how a fighter is "thought of".
People forget how little Cassius Clay was thought of before the Liston fight.
