I think he's the best but he's not a real fighting champion if he doesnt defend his title especially considering he took his current belt off of someone who he dwarfs in both size and skill.

AJ, Wilder and Whyte are 230 pound men. Whyte and AJ rioded and bulked up to 250.

Fury is a natty 270 pound man. How can they even compete? and most of Fury's size is his torso holding his massive lungs for cardio.

Fighters ranked top 15 at the time fury fought them in at least one org. Fury has had 31 fights.

    Wlad
    Chisora x 2
    Wilder x 2
    Hammer
    Cunningham
    Wallin
    Schwarz

So 1/3 of his opponents have been ranked by at least one org

Wilder weighed 212 in fight 1 and performed much better than when he came in at 235 when he looked extremely sluggish.

Fury needs to be a fighting champion. Otherwise he's just another belt holder

Wasn't Johnson on that list, too? It was an official eliminator bout.

The difference is that Wilder was passing these, and others, off as "title defenses."

So no, the logic does not apply.

But they were title defenses and they were ranked . we are using the other posters logic that just because they were ranked by an org they count .

You are still not understanding. Context is everything. If you told me that Wilder is a good FIGHTER because he beat Stiverne, Ortiz, Washington, I would say, yeah, sure.

If you tell me that he is a CHAMPION because he beat Stiverne, Ortiz, Washington, I will have a good laugh at his expense.

Wilder is the number 3-6 heavy in the world, certainly. He is not a champion, and never was.

Dude, you are a Clevland Williams fan, a guy who never beat anybody, and a closet Wilder fan. You have no business accusing another of having Sugar in the tank.

Yet millions of Americans watched Mayweather against a guy making his pro debut and millions of Americans will watch Floyd fight a youtuber

There are talks of WWE at the moment and Bob had plans for a big money exhibition bout in Australia or China (Zhang being the obvious choice and an easy nights work for Fury). He has also stated he will give his mate Chisora (WBC 12) a third fight at some point for a final payday. Can't see it being Kaybel he is a complete unknown outside of boxing circles.

Fury - matter of fact all of the top heavys should also do a 1 fight deal in the UFC. There is a monster payday waiting for all of them.
