i have to say having bought the khanage i'm tempted for this one, could be very interesting with the "new" hatton, james kirkland on the undercard. I'm not to bothered about the prizefighters though, it looks like i'll have to choose between this and december 6 (khan, DLH vs pacquiao)
Can anybody tell me about this Prize fighters thing? Ive heard about it but have next to no idea what its about
It's an eliminator style competition held over one evening, at one venue (York Hall). It's for boxer's who's careers may need a bit of a boost, and the bouts are three rounds long.
That would be good, but I suspect their fees would be far higher than Setanta, and let's be honest, their boxing coverage has gone downhill over the last couple of years.
**** SKY's PPV's:bart I caved for Hatton Vs Mayweather but am not tempted in the slightest to pay for this!
Depends. Does anybody know what the underbill is? I'm not holding out much hope; Hatton bills are usually rubbish. Is that gimp Mathew fighting? I'm not buying it just for Tubby and his transexual dancing partner.
It's Prizefighter first up Then........ http://www.boxrec.com/date_search.php?yyyy=2008&mm=11&dd=22 Not the worst undercard ever, but a young British fighter needs the undercard slot more than Matthew - who needs a trip to the job centre I'm afraid.
**** that watch the live stream... its gonna be a **** fight hatton holding all night....hatton fights are only exciting when mayweathers giving him a boxing lesson
Cheers Beeston:good Not the worst, but still pretty bad. Bautista - Ruiz could be competitive, then again Bautista might just walk through him (I'm not too sure how much Ruiz has left tbh). Mathew Hatton really should just **** off and die.
I would go as far as to say he is the most boring fighter I have ever had the misfortune of watching. All he does is put both hands up and walk forward - doesn't throw any shots at all, doesn't even showboat or get knocked down. Nothing. Exit stage left, please.
Yeah I'll be buying it. Everyone freaks out about PPV's but they are way dearer in the States and we get a lot of the fights free that they have to pay for. Interested to see how Ricky performs, hopefully decently, and while it won't be an action fight I think it will be intriguing. Malignaggi is durable and it's his golden chance. He'll be thinking Hatton is vulnerable and it's his ticket to stardom.
i am not tempted by this at all. this in my opinion is the worst ppv card sky have ever done. even khan vs presscot was a better card than this. theres only one fight worth watching and thats hatton vs paulie and its not even for a world title. the undercard is crap, and i dont like prizefighter, theres never ever been a knock out, its bull****.
Are you all sure Hatton is fighting this Saturday? I thought 'Ricky & the Prizefighters' was the name of the band going to release Hi HO Ricky Fatton for Christmas?
